As Stacey Tompkins, a certified integral relationship coach with Transform by Design, said, “Your wedding day is a ceremony... that launches your marriage and the unfolding of your future.” According to Tompkins, it’s important as a bride, to step into some grounded clarity about who you are and what you value. Here are her tips for keeping it real(ly) about you: • Get clear about your personal, unique style: not your mom’s style, not your best friend’s, not the wedding planner’s...Yours. Reflect, be curious, inquire and land where it feels right. • Avoid over-thinking. Use your instincts. The mind will argue with you because it’s been trained for that. Don’t believe everything you think, always check it out with your heart and your gut. • Become familiar and friendly with your inner critic (We all have one). She may be

working overtime now. Don’t allow her the deciding vote. She is the epitome of ‘What will people think?’ and ‘My mother won’t approve!’ Invite her to set up camp in the time-out corner. • Procure advice from people you respect and admire, and then filter that advice through what you know about yourself. You get the last word. Be sure it’s the word you want. • Stay kind, even when you’re fed up with making decisions. The wedding day will arrive with unexpected problems. How you roll with them will determine the spirit of the day. Laugh, stay present and enjoy. Don’t miss anything.

Cheers to you and your husband-to-be,

From all of us at the Bozeman Daily Chronicle 10

Ranch John designed and built the wedding arbor from 4x6 Douglas Fir beams. Kaitlin helped him weld the horseshoe hooks. John built the arbor as a wedding gift for her as something they could later put in their garden.

The pair stopped into Miller’s Jewelry in Bozeman and found the custom ring made by one of their goldsmiths. It features the entire Bridger Mountain range from the North end all the way to the ‘M’.

Kaitlin wanted to find something light and flowy for her bridesmaids’ dresses that would fall in that middle ground between rustic and formal. Her future sister-in-law found the style of dress she had been looking for from J. Crew.

Kaitlin & John IN LOVE ON THE RANCH You’re all about shiny belt buckles and love seeing your man in his cowboy boots. You want a wedding that reflects your way of life. Whether you do that by having a wedding that’s hosted on your family ranch or have a truly Western-inspired event, looking at weddings like Kaitlin and John’s is a great first step to getting you on the way to two-stepping down the aisle. Kaitlin shared her story with us. OUR LOVE STORY My husband, John, and I were married on July 25, 2015. We first met in 2007 while attending Montana State University. His roommate and my roommate had just started dating, and the two of them thought we would make a good match.

“What I will remember the most is walking down the aisle towards the love of my life, surrounded by family and friends in the place I love.” -Kaitlin Langer

After seven wonderful years together, we had the opportunity to take a once-ina-lifetime trip to Europe. John planned to propose to me halfway through our trip at a castle in Germany. He arranged for a horse drawn carriage ride through the forest up to Neuschwanstein Castle. I knew something was wrong, because John’s hands were clammy and he seemed nervous. When we got to the top of the castle, John proposed on one knee in front of a window in the castle’s tower.

PLANNING THE DAY Once we got back home, the wedding planning began. We decided to get married at Springhill Pavilion. The venue fit our personalities and style, and as a Montana girl, I always wanted to get married on a mountain. John spent the winter building the wooden arbor that we were married under (including the welded horseshoe accents and lantern holders). OUR WORRIES Knowing what we all know about Montana, I was a little worried that the weather would not cooperate for the big day… Just as everyone sat down inside, a small but intense rain storm opened up. Our good-luck wedding day rain arrived at the perfect time. As soon as we finished eating, our photographer pointed out that the rain had created a perfect double rainbow over Ross Peak. We all rushed out to take a look and snap some pictures. The night ended with lots of music, dancing, laughter and hugs.

Yellowstone “I want to wear a pink tulle skirt,” Amanda told Michael. Crushed that the online store sold out of the skirt she loved, Michael made it his mission to find it. The rest is history.

The pair vowed to do things their way. Amanda’s mountain ring from Sundance and Michael’s Koa wood band from Hawaii reflect their individual personhood and the landscape that inspired their connection.

The venue was a no brainer. The Map Room was the first place Amanda saw Michael present and read from his Yellowstone memoir. It’s where they first professed their love.

Michael & Amanda

A SPARKLING YELLOWSTONE AFFAIR Remember those weekend camping trips you took with your fiance in your first year of dating? How you’d take the hour-long trip to Yellowstone and end up enjoying every second acting like a tourist when you’re practically at home. Maybe you’ve thought about how nice it would be to get married at the Old Faithful Inn or even by Mammoth Hot Springs. Well, why not? Michael and Amanda did in December, and there are plenty of tips you can get from reading their wedding day tale, as told by Michael Leach. LOVE ON THE YELLOWSTONE As a single father and author, I spent much of summer 2014 traveling to readings and book signings with my six-yearold daughter. Days before the start of first grade, a ceremony was in order. Honoring the loss of our black Lab, we journeyed back to our cherished waters of the Upper Yellowstone to celebrate the life of our beloved pet. Following our ceremony, we stayed with a friend who runs a bed and breakfast on the banks of the Yellowstone River. Midway through dinner, Amanda walked in the door. My daughter immediately gravitated toward her radiant energy and goodness. After putting my little shadow down for the night, I journeyed upstairs to see if Amanda was still awake. Eight hours later, we were still talking and exploring our connection. Four days following our electric evening, I shot her a message on Facebook confessing that I couldn’t get her off my mind and within two days we went on our first date: breakfast and a float on the Big Hole River. COURTSHIP Three weeks later, I invited her to travel with me to my best friend’s wedding in

Seattle. Minutes away from walking down the aisle, joining the procession of my high school friends as a groomsman, Amanda walked onto the terrace overlooking the skyline. Awestruck, I snuck away just long enough to greet the most stunning woman I had ever laid eyes upon. I hadn’t planned what I was going to say, but the minute I touched her hands, words flowed like the waters that inspired our connection. “Marry me!” Her response: “Marrying you doesn’t scare me. Not spending forever with you is all that scares me.” WEDDING BELLS Closing out 2014 in monumental fashion, on winter solstice with a small tribe of family and friends, we shared an audacious ceremony as we exchanged the most potent of vows in the Map Room at the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. I kissed my bride twice before the pronouncement. Everything about our union shattered the traditional wedding box. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. As Montanans, we took the raging blizzard that shut down I-90 en-route to our reception as a sign of good fortune.

Woodsy Maggie’s hair was done by her sister’s friend who works at a salon. Maggie has really thick hair and just knew she wanted flowers and braids, but the end result was a boho chic hairdo that reminded Maggie of “Game of Thrones.”

The couple ordered a buttercream frosting, wheat-free cake since Maggie has a gluten intolerance. They put flowers the pair bought at the farmers’ market around the cake for decoration.

Their venue, Lubrecht Experimental Forest in Missoula, felt like an “enchanted fairytale forest” to Maggie. The aspen trees were an awe factor for the couple, and after seeing it for the first time, they were sold.

Maggie & Cale WHIMSICAL LOVE IN THE WOODS Whether it’s the National Parks and Forest Land that made you fall in love with Montana or just the simple beauty of the view you get from your balcony, the Treasure State has some of the most beautiful woodland in the country. Want a wedding that’s just as whimsical and magical as your love? Look to Maggie and Cale for ideas on how to host the perfect woodsy affair. COLLEGE SWEETHEARTS Maggie and Cale both went to Bozeman High School, but the pair didn’t officially meet until college. They were both in the photography program at Montana State University, and Cale remembered Maggie from high school. He started talking to her one day in the darkroom when she was working on a project, but they didn’t become a couple until later. During a semester abroad in Italy, Cale finally asked Maggie out. THE PROPOSAL In September of 2013, Cale planned a trip to the Boiling River—the couple’s favorite spot in Yellowstone. Right before they got in the river, Cale nervously forgot to get down on one knee and just barely managed to get the words out, “Will you marry me?” Before he let Maggie answer, he let his nerves calm a bit and re-proposed on one knee. Maggie instantly said “yes.”

THE PLAN When planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something unpretentious, a wedding where their whole family could feel comfortable. They knew they wanted it in the woods in the late summer. Both of their families grew flowers that were later

used to help decorate and for several of the flower arrangements. The day of the wedding, they even picked up some flowers from the farmers’ market to use. Their wedding day was made perfect by the joint effort of both Maggie and Cale’s families.

For her centerpiece decorations, Leah chose baby’s breath. Her wedding took place during the hottest week in June where the temperatures hit close to 100 degrees. The baby’s breath held up all night.

Instead of having a wedding cake, Leah and BJ opted for a small bites dessert buffet. Guests could choose from cheesecakes, to raspberry or chocolate—this way no one skipped out on dessert since there were endless options. No plates or forks were necessary either.

2015

Leah & BJ A RUSTIC SUMMER LOVE You love Montana and want your wedding to reflect this area’s rustic side, but you want it done elegantly and simply. Burlap accents, baby’s breath for your centerpieces and lots of lace. It’s the perfect combination of Montana’s Wild West and it’s wilderness sides, without being too much of either. Leah and BJ’s simply elegant summer wedding is a perfect example of a rustic Montana gathering. BRIDGER BRIDE Leah and BJ met like many other couples in Bozeman do—at Bridger Bowl. At the time, they were already in relationships of their own, but once each of them were single again, the same friend who introduced them the first time reintroduced them. They had their first date at the Sweet Tooth Swing and ended up dancing the whole night away. POPPING THE QUESTION Eventually, BJ asked Leah’s parents for their blessing on the proposal. For months, every time Leah called her parents, they would wait to see if he had popped the question. But the summer months flew by and turned into Christmas and still no proposal. Then, the couple took a trip to Vietnam. After taking a 13-hour overnight train ride to a boutique resort, BJ finally popped the question after dinner on the beach. Leah was so excited, BJ had to ask twice.

THE BIG DAY When planning their wedding, the couple wanted to keep it simple. Leah, who is from New York, and BJ, who is from Minnesota, wanted to highlight Montana at their wedding, so their family could experience it as much as possible. They had a

TIP: According to Bennett, it is important to like the people you are working with. “Feel comfortable with the staff and your main contact. Have confidence in them.”

SETTING THE STAGE Your venue should be an extension of your personality and a reflection of your love. Where do you want your friends and family to convene for your wedding day?

Ranch

Think of red barns and wooden fences with a mountain backdrop. Keep the details simple and let the views take your guests’ breath away.

Woodsy

With towering pines or a meadow surrounded by aspens, you’ll choose a cozy haven to start your journey. Bring in bohemian elements reminiscent of a nomadic lifestyle with an artistic flare. Think free, adventurous, loving and simple.

Rustic

Look for a venue that has a wide open space for your ceremony. Fill that space with burlap, flowers, feathers or your favorite pattern to give it the right look for when you say “I do.”

YNP

This is a powerful and large area that screams wilderness and raw nature. Let the beautiful surroundings do most of the decorating for you.

Taye Bennett, manager of the Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon, shares her advice on what you should be asking when selecting a venue. In Montana, book a venue at least one year in advance, according to Bennett. If you want a weekend date, it doesn’t hurt to start looking 18 months in advance. MAKE SURE TO ASK THESE QUESTIONS WHEN LOOKING AT A VENUE: • What are the requirements for having alcohol? • Is it vendor exclusive (meaning you can't bring in your own caterer)? • What is your backup plan for rain? • Are tables and chairs included? • How many people can you hold? • Is setup and cleanup included or extra? • Is there ample parking for your guests? • Will readers and officiants need microphones? • Is there a fee if your event runs overtime? • Are there restrictions on the hours music can be played? • Is open flame permitted (for candles, a bonfire, sparklers or fireworks)? • Is there a dressing room for the bridal party?

Make sure you come in knowing what is important to you in a venue. What are you looking to get out of it? Coming in with this information can help the venue staff give you the best recommendations.

WEDDING DAY GLAMOUR Whether you’ve hired a professional or you’re asking your cousin to help, hair and makeup is not something you want to leave for the last minute. Decide on the details three to four months before your wedding, so you can make sure everything is polished.

Ranch

Most likely, you’ll be outside with the strong Montana winds forcing your beautiful curls to dance around your face. Keep them pulled back in an elegant up-do that will also pair nicely with a veil.

Woodsy

Ask for stunning, detailed braids or keep it long and flowy. Add color and natural elements by capping it off with colorful flowers.

Rustic

Keep it simple and classic. Feel fancy by incorporating accent earrings or fun eye makeup. A classic half-up will be the right way to frame your face for your big day.

YNP

A French braid is how you fixed your hair when you went hiking for the first time together. Now as his wife, swap out that French braid for a fishtail braid and walk down the aisle in a hairdo similar to the one you had on your first trip to the park.

HAIR

If you’ve noticed your hair is a little dull, that can be a sign of Vitamin B deficiency. Eat foods like fish, nuts or eggs to see if that makes a difference in your hair. Wear a button down shirt to your hair and makeup appointments, and always schedule a trial at least three months before your wedding. A trial will guarantee that you can see what your hair looks like with a veil or accessories so you can get your look just right. To limit frustrations, pick a hairstylist who understands your personality and can translate that into a style.

SKIN

We all want glowing, healthy skin on our wedding day. While you can see an aesthetician, the first thing you should do is make sure you’re hydrated. Water is the best-kept secret for maintaining a radiant look. If you’re getting married outdoors, apply a moisturizer with at least an SPF of 30.

LIPS

The dry, arid Montana weather often means cracked lips, and you don’t want that to be your first kiss as a couple. Find a Vitamin E stick to combat cracks. Finding a good lip exfoliator to use once a week will help minimize dry lips.

MAKEUP

Many Montana girls go without makeup everyday and can feel overwhelmed to have to wear it on their wedding day. Even if it’s a “natural look” that you’re after, it’s still important to apply foundation. If you’re not seeing a professional for your makeup, make sure you’re applying it in natural light and do a practice run to see if it runs or gets oily. Set up your application table near a window. If that’s not possible, halogen light is second best. Another easy way to add a polished look can be with false eyelashes.

Invitations & Wedding Stationery SETTING THE TONE FOR YOUR WEDDING By Anna Boswell of Cast Calligraphy

Although saving the date can be as easy as sending an email or reminder, the traditions of wedding stationery have only strengthened over the years. Brides and grooms continue to stamp and seal their save the dates and invitations the old fashioned way – through the U.S. postal service. These days, a thoughtfully chosen or beautifully assembled invitation not only formally invites each guest to the ceremony, but serves as a guide to the weekends events. Here are a few tips to ensure you have all your stationery bases covered. Finalize your guest list before ordering your paper goods so you know what sort of budget to work with. Printing costs vary depending on your print method, which include digital, letterpress, engraving, foil stamping, etc. Standard wedding suites include a save the date, invitation, RSVP card and details card. Wording your invitation can be tricky, especially when dealing with divorced or deceased family members. Be sure to double check the etiquette before printing (most popular wedding blogs offer this advice). If the brides parents are hosting (paying for) the wedding, their names should be honored at the beginning of the invitation, or vice versa for the groom. If the couple is paying together, you can be more playful with the wording. Give yourself plenty of time to

44

assemble and mail your save the dates and invitations. It always takes longer than expected. Save the dates should be mailed at least six months in advance, and invitations should be mailed twothree months in advance. Give your guests at least two weeks to return the RSVP card and stay diligent about your timeline – many of your vendors need to know quantities in advance. Be consistent! Having a cohesive look throughout your wedding stationery will really improve the overall impression of your big day. Hire the same stationer to design your programs or menus, and repeat the calligraphy in your place cards or favor tags. Don't forget to order thank you cards, either. Your guests will appreciate a nice handwritten note after traveling to celebrate you and your wedding!

2015

Always order at least 10 extra of each card – just to be safe. You might end up inviting your new best friend from work down the road.

Did you know? RSVP stands for répondez, s'il vous plaît, the French phrase that means “please reply.”

Envelope calligraphy adds elegance and character to your invitation suite. You can choose between a traditional script or a modern calligraphy style. And the color choices are endless!

The save the dates and invitations set the tone for your wedding, so they should be thoughtfully chosen and fit your style as a couple.

Flowers & Decorations MAKE YOUR WEDDING BLOSSOM Who knew there were so many details to consider when choosing your floral arrangements? From the bride’s bouquet, the groomsmen’s boutonnieres, the center piece decorations and your flower girl’s floral crown, flowers aren’t something you can save for the last minute. Julio Freitas and Shane Kirkham from Kirkham and Company in Four Corners provided their expertise on flowers for your big day. If you haven’t decided on flowers yet, Frietas recommends looking online for different textures, styles and colors you like. He almost prefers if you tell him what you dislike, this way he can stay away from those flowers. Come in early. Frietas said brides should be talking to a florist at least six months before their wedding. And talk to multiple florists. Pick one you get along with and one who can meet your budget and understand your style. Always be sure to ask your florist to find a similar flower if you can’t afford an expensive one. For 2016, Freitas and Kirkham foresee lots of elegant wildflower bouquets. Colors will also be popular. Brides are trending away from the traditional pink flowers and opting for lavenders, blues and oranges. TIP: If you’re having a winter wedding, ask for a “sacrifice bouquet.” The cold weather makes flowers wilt faster, and you can take the sacrifice bouquet on the photo shoot with you, so your original one won’t get ruined.

Catering

Eat, Drink & be Married Food is what brings people together, and the day after your wedding, of course you want to hear people raving about how delicious the chicken was or how scrumptious their cake tasted. In order to make sure you’re getting the best deal from a caterer, though, it’s important to ask these questions. DOES THE CATERED MEAL COME WITH FULL SERVICE? Find out whether or not the caterer will handle everything from table settings, food and bar service to cleanup. If not, you’ll want to see what your venue covers; otherwise, you might have to hire outside help for something.

WHEN DOES THE TASTING TAKE PLACE? Make sure you can taste food before hiring a caterer or baker.

WILL THE CATERER PROVIDE TABLES, CHAIRS, NAPKINS AND SILVERWARE? If they do provide these, check to see if they cost extra. If they don’t provide them, see if your venue does.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL THE CATERER NEED TO SETUP AND BREAKDOWN? You will need these details in order to coordinate with your venue. Some venues have restrictions on how late staff can stay. Make sure to ask about overtime fees incase your event runs longer than contracted.

IF USING AN OUTSIDE VENDOR, DO THEY CHARGE A CAKE-CUTTING FEE? You’d hate to order a cake from elsewhere and see a hidden fee pop up. Be sure to ask about any services they can provide for you.

IS THE BAR SERVICE LICENSED AND INSURED? Don’t end up with fines if any accidents or property damage happen.

TIP: Ideally, you should start research on your caterer nine months to one year before your wedding.

FOR THE LOVE, CONSIDER A WEDDING PLANNER By Kimberly Franke of Gather in Montana

I’m biased when asked, “Should we hire a wedding planner?” I’m a planner, after all. Families are merging, friends can feel left out and this is by far the most guests you have ever had to wrangle. Excitement can quickly turn into despair as you balance your demanding job, parents, budgets and logistics (and did that fiancé go fishing again!?). Let me share with you reasons why I think every single couple should consider a planner.

Your friends and family are not a substitute for a professional planner. I know, planners cost money and friends are free. However, sometimes cost saving doesn’t mean “more” and it can be devastating for couples when family and friends do not show the same amount of enthusiasm or attention to details they feel are necessary for their special day. Conflicts can arise between family and friends over wedding-related tasks and expectations. Our family and friends want to support us, but it can be awkward for them when they are asked to take on additional responsibilities. Yes, family and friends are extremely important and play a big role on your special day but this doesn’t mean that they have the skills and knowledge that comes with experience in event management.

68

A professional will bring experience from setting a budget to timeline, from table settings to ceremony music. Planners are there to listen to what you want, and then they work with you to make it happen in the most realistic terms. They have the allotted time to connect with you on a personal level for this personal event. Plus, they can help you navigate the sticky family situations that sometimes arise with wedding planning—we’re here to take one for the team! I recommend not blurring the lines between family/friends and free labor. Let your friends be your guests and have a ball celebrating with you. On the big day, you cannot physically be in two places at once. While it would be extremely handy, it is just not possible. You can’t set up the reception while you

2015

CARRIE ANNE DOYLE PHOTOGRAPHY FA C E B O O K

are getting your hair done. Your mother can’t greet the caterer if she is supposed to be in the family photos. Your Maid of Honor can’t be fluffing your dress and seating guests. It can be next to impossible to juggle getting ready for the event and getting the event set up in time. Family and friends can be a big help here! An army of volunteers can make light work of a big task: bringing desserts, setting up flowers and chairs and decorating. It is certainly impressive to witness a group of loved ones in action. But with double the help, the more complex the task of managing everyone can be. I’ve been to several weddings where the couple has left decisions to the “can-do” friends who end up either not finishing the tasks or bossing each other around… and the job went unfinished! What is the saying? Too many cooks spoil the broth (at least, as we say in Australia).

Having a day-of coordinator can keep everyone on task, oversee and answer questions. They can also be the face of the couple and thank people for their help, delegate and troubleshoot problems or changes. So, book a planner. Finding a planner through recommendations of trusted vendors and friends is the best way to start. Meet with planners who offer complimentary first-time consultations and meet them face-toface (you’ll be spending lots of time together in the coming days!). You only get one wedding, and you should be standing back and enjoying the moment, not worrying about trivial things that someone else could gracefully handle. On your wedding day, free your family, friends and, most importantly, you and your beloved to enjoy the day!

69

WEDDING DAY ATTIRE Your wedding day is finally here. You step into the dress, button up the back and before you know it, you’re already walking down the aisle. The day flashes by in wonderful blur, and as you look back on your wedding day, there is one thing that is featured in every picture: your outfit. Make your wedding day special by picking out clothes you feel beautiful in, and make sure your hubby feels like a champ in his tux. And don’t forget your best friends: they’ll be right beside you in beautiful shades of your favorite color. Whether you like the casual look or the elegant, all-white attire, be sure you’re finding what makes you happy. Tips from the experts— Sari Feenstra and Karyn Carpenter of Eskay Bridal, Ann Porter and Crystal Hawes of Persnickety Formal Wear and Megan Jacks of After 5 and Weddings— on all your wedding day attire can be found on the next few pages. Be sure to shop smart and come prepared. These ladies will all do their best to make sure you look your best when you say “I do.”

The Bride PICKING YOUR “I DO” ATTIRE “Wear the dress you feel beautiful in,” said Sari Feenstra, co-owner of Eskay Bridal. When shopping for your wedding gown, keep in mind that this is your day. Feenstra, along with co-owner Karyn Carpenter, have helped many brides find their perfect gown, but they’ve realized that it’s helpful when a bride-to-be has done some research before trying on dresses. Ordering your dress can take six-eight months, so it’s never a bad idea to start shopping even a year in advance. Carpenter’s first piece of advice: “Be open minded.” Often, she said, dresses don’t have “hanger appeal.” Brides will often purchase a dress they didn’t initially pick out.

Brides on a budget should also do some research on styles. For example, the women said lace dresses are typically more expensive. Understand your options. When purchasing your dress, ask questions. Find out if the price also includes a steam fee, storage or alterations. The Feenstra and Carpenter also warned of online scams. “If the price is too good to be true, you’re getting a low quality dress. Seamstresses often won’t work on online dresses,” Feenstra said.

TIP: Feenstra and Carpenter recommend bringing accessories you know you will wear on your wedding day with you when trying on dresses. If you’re wearing cowboy boots or your grandma’s veil, bring it. 73

The Men TIPS ON TUXES Ann Porter has been in the formal wear business with her daughter Crystal Hawes for eight years. Over the years, they have figured out all the ins and outs. Consultants at Persnickety Formal Wear, the mother-daughter team brings life and energy to every fitting. When picking out tuxes, Porter recommends the men come in at least 12 weeks prior to the wedding. Twelve weeks out guarantees that Porter can get the correct sizes for each groomsmen, whether they are in Montana or out of state. Measurements are very important. When coming in for the first time, Porter has found it helpful for the men to bring in the bride, a mother or another trustworthy family member who can help make a good judgement call on the tuxes. “It can sometimes be frustrating for the guys to pick out their tuxes,” she said. “They need a backup.” She has also noticed that the men are trending toward suspenders, nonpleated pants and fitted shirts for the big day.

Bridesmaids GETTING THE GIRLS’ GARB Picking out bridesmaids’ dresses should be fun, according to Megan Jacks, owner of After 5 and Weddings. “If you aren’t having fun, then it’s the wrong day to be doing this.” The first question Jacks asks the bridal party is if they know the colors they want to work with. Some women come in with specific swatches and others are open to ideas. No matter your color scheme, make sure your bridesmaids are open to trying on many different styles. Sometimes, Jacks noticed, brides request that everyone wears the same dress. Know that straps of any kind can be added to a strapless dress to make sure everyone feels comfortable. One of the latest trends Jacks has seen is an eclectic party where bridesmaids wear dresses of different styles or shades. It’s also been popular to have an ombre wedding party where bridesmaids dresses go from light to dark. Another trend she has noticed that hasn’t quite caught on with brides in Montana yet are floral or patterned bridesmaids dresses.
