Coach Bisson grew up playing baseball, football, and basketball in Livingston, MT. He played three seasons with the Livingston Braves Baseball team, receiving three all-conference selections and one all-state selection as a second basemen. While in the program, Bisson helped lead the Braves to two conference championships. Upon graduation from Park High School, Bisson received a scholarship to play baseball for the Dickinson State University Bluehawks. During his four-year career, Bisson was named All-Dakota Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete in 2012 and 2013 and All-NAIA Scholar Athlete in 2014 and 2015. In 2007 he decided he wanted to play at a higher level of legion baseball, so he moved to Bozeman with his father. Although he would ultimately suffer a severe back injury later in the season, he contributed to many of the teams wins and helped them win the 2007 AA State Championship. In 2007, Coach Carosella, turned down a full academic scholarship to Gonzaga University to pursue his love of the game. Although, he could’ve walked on to the Gonzaga program, he wanted a for sure thing. Loran accepted a full athletic scholarship to Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad, CO. Due to his back injury, he was a medical redshirt his freshman year. After recovering from his injury, Loran’s debut year on the mound for TSJC, was a very successful one, and was ranked #4 in the Western U.S. for NJCAA Div. 1 pitchers. He was awarded with First Team All-Conference, and Second Team All-Region as a Freshman. Loran’s sophomore year was just as impressive as his freshman year. He was recruited by top Division 1 programs such as, Arizona State, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oregon State, and Texas. He decided he wanted to stay closer to home and his friends, so he accepted a scholarship to play at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
