PRNOC What is the PRNOC? The Public Relations and News Operations Center (PRNOC) was built in 2011 as a Corporate Communications tool to stay informed, in near real time, of conversations about AT&T and our competitors. The visuals depict trends, sentiment, and influence. This information enables Corporate Communications to prioritize responses and pivot communications strategies.
What is the PRNOC listening for or picking up? The PRNOC scans more than 150 million publicly available traditional and non-traditional news and social sources such as blogs, news sites, forums, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. It is looking for specific mentions of AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Key words are tracked and maintained by Corporate Communications. This provides insight into conversations, issues, and key products associated with these four companies. Currently, the PRNOC displays information on mobility content. In future phases, pending funding, additional industries will be added.
Are there additional PRNOCs? The original PRNOC sits on the Corporate Communications floor in Whitacre Tower (10th floor) with a mirror display on the Home Solutions floor (12th floor) and a third display located in Atlanta. An online version of the platform is available to executives. All of the PRNOCs display the same information/feeds.
What future enhancements are planned? Internal teams are working together to make the PRNOC more flexible and customizable. Planned enhancements include automated alerts, predictors, graphic overlays, additional data sets, and custom views. Pending funding, additional industries will be added.
How can I learn more about the PRNOC? 1. Visit the PRNOC tSpace Community for videos and additional information: http://tspace.web.att.com/communities/community/prnoc 2. Guided tours are available every half hour on Thursdays between 2-4 p.m. on the 10th floor in Dallas. Remote/virtual tours can also be scheduled for times outside of tour hours.
