A first look at our
The new Advanced Engineering Centre will revolutionise the delivery of Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing qualifications at Bournemouth and Poole College, providing state-of-the-art Engineering and Mechatronics facilities and teaching spaces.
With industry level equipment and experiences, the new centre boasts:
• 2 x Engineering Workshops with programmable equipment
• A new Engineering Maintenance Workshop
• 2 x General Classrooms
The Health and Care Academy will provide students with industry level equipment and experience to allow them to successfully achieve their learning outcomes, with simulated, hands-on experience with medical technology, life-like manikins and care situations.
The academy features:
• A Hospital Ward Simulation Suite
• A Care Suite with a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom
• A Consultation Suite that replicates a GP surgery
• 2 x Classrooms
We’re proud to say that our Poole campus is easily accessible by both bus and train, making it simple for you to join us on our Open Event days.
Our campus is well-connected by local bus services, stopping just outside of our main entrance. Whether you’re coming from the town centre, or nearby locations, there’s likely a direct or connecting bus route for you.
M1: Poole to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, serving: Parkstone, Westbourne, Bournemouth and Castlepoint.
M2: Poole to Southbourne, serving: Parkstone, Westbourne, Bournemouth and Boscombe.
20: Poole to Castlepoint, serving: Poole, Parkstone, Branksome, Westbourne, Charminster and Muscliff.
15: Poole to Royal Bournemouth Hospital, serving: Parkstone, Wallisdown, Winton, Moordown and Castlepoint.
All single bus fares are currently just £2, whilst young people can get unlimited bus travel in Zone A for as little as £1.75 per day for unlimited trips, very verification through the MoreBus App.
We’re fortunate to be situated by two train stations, making travel by rail incredibly easy. Both stations are within walking distance of the college, offering fast connections to and from surrounding areas.
Parkstone Train Station:
Just a 15-minute walk from campus, with direct services from Weymouth and London Waterloo.
Poole Train Station:
A mile from our Poole Campus, with a taxi rank just outside platform 1.
