AboutBPIEF THE BornEo PosT wishes to invite students, parents and working adults to visit the 6th Edition of Borneo Post International Education Fair at the Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching on March 21-22 this year. Opening hours are from 10am to 6pm. Admission is free. Bring your results and speak to representatives from over 80 exhibitors of various disciplines. Not sure of what to do?Speak to counsellors on hand, take psychometric tests to determine your inclination. Get photocopies of your certificates certified by Education Officers on the spot. The annual BPIEF is an event that showcases all education-related activities and exhibits from institutions of higher learning and skills training, both local and from overseas, all under one roof. BPIEF is Borneoâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s premier education fair and is evolving to become a class of its own, drawing visitors from throughout the state and from the region. From early childhood education activities to formal tertiary education and skills training, the doors to a brighter future await students and working adults, so take the next step towards life and career fulfillment.

About the organiser

The Borneo Post is the largest and most read English daily in Borneo. Established over

30 years ago in 1978, and together with its Sunday edition - thesundaypost - which has a total circulation that reaches a total readership of about half a million in Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei Darussalam. The Borneo Post and thesundaypost are two of the four newspapers, currently in circulation under See Hua Group of newspapers, owned by KTS Holdings Berhad. The other two are Bahasa Malaysia daily, Utusan Borneo (UB); and Chinese daily, See Hua Daily News (SHDN). Messages IT is the right of every child and person to have an education towards a brighter future. As Minister for Welfare, Women and Family Development who also has the Watching brief for Education in Sarawak, I strongly believe getting an education will open minds and prepare students for challenges ahead. We welcome parents, students and teachers to visit the Borneo Post International Education Fair (BPIEF) 2015 which showcases 85 exhibitors under one roof offering a wide spectrum of disciplines. Speak with these institutions and know what options are available. Ask as many questions and get as much information to make your decision. This year the Borneo Post International Education Fair will focus on Support Services to help school leavers make the leap from secondary to tertiary or vocational education. These services include psychometric tests to help students gauge their aptitude, counsellors who can speak to students who are unsure of what they want to do, and institutions which can provide financing to deserving students to further their education. Education officers are also on hand to certify certificate copies at the venue for the convenience of students. Whether it’s pursuing tertiary WE believe that all students have a bright future, we just have to give them the chance to show what they are capable of. The key to this is getting an education. Education opens up a world of possibilities, inspires dreams, instills confidence and opens the mind. Centre of Technical Excellence (CENTEXS) formerly known as “Pusat Latihan Pembangunan Belia”. PLPB has rebranding and undergone major transformation. Beginning with only four programmes and an initial enrolment of only 94 students, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak in Kota Samarahan (UiTMKS) has indeed come a long way.
