BRAC Ultra Poor Graduation

Originally Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee, BRAC began as a small relief effort in Bangladesh and has grown to the world's largest NGO with a network of 120,000 staff who reach 138 million people in 12 countries. Founded in 2007, BRAC USA is an independent affiliate of BRAC with its own Board of Directors exercising full fiduciary responsibility for all grants, philanthropic programs and services. BRAC and BRAC USA are determined to root out the systemic causes of poverty, mainly through the empowerment of women and girls – and to design solutions that can be scaled up to reach millions. BRAC works with governments, NGOs and MFIs to assess the feasibility and capacity of implementing Graduation programmes, and develops context- specific design recommendations. Over the years, BRAC has provided technical assistance to help implementing organisations with effective programme planning and design.
