Fenner Real Estate expands into Ellicottville market By Rick Miller

ELLICOTTVILLE — Allegany real estate broker Thomas Fenner has expanded into the Ellicottville real estate market. Fenner, who has been in the real estate business for 43 years, opened his own office in 1998, first in Olean and then moving to Allegany about 10 years ago. Rounding out Fenner’s two-person office in Allegany is real estate agent Deb Sartori, a retired postal carrier from Allegany. Teaming up with Ellen Fenton of Ellen Fenton & Co. LLC Insurance, 39 Mill St., “gave me an opportunity to come over here (Ellicottville),” Fenner said. Ellen Fenton has 35 years in the real estate business. She opened at the Mill Street location in Ellicottville 18 months ago. Her daughter, Jessica Schwartz, is a licensed insurance agent who also Deb Sartori helps with social media. “The Ellicottville area is a buyer’s market,” Tom Fenton said. “There’s a lot of property on the market. It’s also very competitive. This is a good opportunity for a new market area for us.” Fenner Real Estate is “the biggest of the smallest,” Fenner likes to say. “We have all the tools. We can do everything everyone else can.

“We’re more interested in the personal touch,” Fenton added. Fenner said many of his sales come from multiple listings, in which he acts for the buyer. He also lists dozens of properties on his own in Cattaraugus, Allegany and Chautauqua

counties. “I’ve been in business long enough to get second generations looking to buy their first house,” Fenner said. “I get a lot of referrals.” Fenner noted that there are still government-backed first-homebuyer

How to choose the right window treatments for your home Plantation shutters? Miniblinds? Cafe curtains? Formal draperies?
