The iconic "Forever Marilyn" statue will finally be moved this spring, several feet north to a new spot within Downtown Park, after a prolonged public debate. This 26-foot-tall statue, depicting Marilyn Monroe's famous pose from "The Seven Year Itch," has been both a popular tourist attraction and a source of controversy. The relocation aims to address concerns about blocking the museum view while keeping the statue accessible for those under-the-skirt selfies.
Looking Ahead: Palm Springs Pride 2025 will take place from November 6–9 with the theme "Be Heard." The event showcases a diverse line-up of celebrations and activities designed to amplify voices within the LGBTQ+ community. Attendees can enjoy various events, including the lively Arenas District Block Party, Festival Marketplace, and the iconic Pride Parade, which brings thousands of spectators together to support over 200 marching contingents. This year's theme will encourage everyone to share their stories, express themselves, and celebrate the power of their voices.
