Bishop DuBourg Bishop DuBourg High School educates a diverse coeducational community, meets the needs of each individual student, enables young people to reach their full potential, and develops leaders in faith and service, through Catholic values and academic excellence.


Competitive Athletics Bishop DuBourg’s Scholar Athletes excel in the classroom and on the field of play. They are multi-sport athletes that go on to compete in college athletics at the Division I, II, III & NAIA Levels. Bishop DuBourg has won 25 State Banners since 1996 and 123 District Titles. You can hear our Live Game Broadcasts on the DuBourg Sports’ Network.

Academy of Advanced STUDIES The Academy of Advanced Studies is an honors academy which offers a rigorous program of academics. Students who have scored a 85% or above on standardized tests and have a B+ or higher average may apply for admission into the Academy. Students must take at least 16 of our 18 honors or advanced college credit courses. The Academy offers the opportunity to participate in special seminar courses, summer elective courses, enrichment trips, college visits, test prep, and career shadowing.

Emily Roeder ‘16 - St. Gabriel the Archangel “I applied for the Academy because I wanted to challenge myself academically and work with of group of my peers who shared similar academic strengths. The Academy has surpassed my expectations. Through the Academy, I have ventured out of my comfort zone both in the classroom and beyond. I have traveled to Washington DC and Chicago. I have taken classes and participated in group discussions and projects that go far beyond typical high school curriculum.”


Real Life Experiences Bishop DuBourg’s student body is COED – with 56% girls and 44% boys. Twenty-two percent of our students are African-American, Asian or Hispanic. Sixteen percent of our students practice faiths other than Catholicism. Students come from 83 different grade schools & 25 different zip codes. Our student body also features a wide range of academic abilities.

Faith in Christ Our school motto, “Faith in Christ... Service to Others,” is intergrated into every aspect of the Bishop DuBourg experience. We feature monthly all-school liturgies and days of prayer for freshmen, sophomores and juniors. All Seniors attend a KAIROS retreat. We also boast active Campus Ministry and a Pro Life Clubs, and a Faith Formation Team focused on spiritual development within the community.

Service to Others Our school motto is seen, felt and lived on a daily basis in all we do. Students are required to complete 150 Christian Service Hours over their 4 years (Freshmen 20, Sophomores 25, Juniors 35, Seniors 70). Seniors also complete an Intensive Service Project. We also proudly support Habitat for Humanity with School Service Trips.

Faith in Christ... Service to Others The idea of “giving back� is instilled throughout the Bishop DuBourg High School experience. The DB family encourages our students to explore their comfort zones and go beyond them, seeking experiences that will challenge them.


Opportunities Bishop DuBourg has something for everyone and it’s easy to get involved. We have over 20 different clubs including Robotics, Health Care Careers Club, and Video Gamers. New clubs are added annually based on students’ interest. Other opportunities include Fine Arts’ Clubs (Guild Theatre, Pep Band, Art Club, and National Art Honor Society) and Fine Arts’ Elective Courses (Careers in Art, Ceramics, Concert & Jazz Bands, Guitar, Piano, Intro to Theatre, Acting, and Theatre Set Building). Students also have the opportunity to attend clinics with professionals in the Art, Music & Theatre fields.
