Longlegs

In 1990s Oregon, FBI agent Lee Harker (Monroe) is assigned to a case involving a series of murdersuicides. In each incident, a father has killed himself and his family, leaving behind a coded letter signed “Longlegs.” Partnered with her supervisor, William Carter (Underwood), Harker determines that each family has had a nine-year-old daughter born on the 14th of the month, and that each murder occurs within six days before or after the daughter’s birthday. When mapped out, the location of each murder forms a strange symbol, with one date missing. After discovering her own mother, Ruth (Witt), had filed a police report regarding a strange man approaching her daughter on her ninth birthday, Harker begins to suspect that she may know more about the identity and motive of Longlegs (Cage) than what’s on the surface.

In a Violent Nature

When a group of friends — consisting of Kris (Pavlovic), Colt (Love), Troy (Leone), Aurora (Creaghan), Ehren (Roulston), Brodie (Sebastianis) and Evan (Oliver) — go camping, Ehren regales the party with the story of a boy named Johnny (Barrett). According to legend, Johnny was a developmentally disabled boy who was tricked into climbing the fire tower for a bag of toys as part of a prank. When Johnny reached the top, he was startled by someone waiting to scare him and he fell to his death. A series of murders in the area are attributed to Johnny’s vengeful spirit. When a locket hanging on the remains of the fire tower where Johnny allegedly died is removed, an enraged Johnny rises from his grave to wreak unimaginable violence on those who have disturbed his resting place.
