ney Chambers (James Norton, “McMafia”) as he develops a penchant for sleuthing. After receiving a visit from a deceased man’s mistress who believes his death was not a suicide but a murder, Sidney is implored to investigate the man’s demise, and
manage to look beyond them and focus on what is important: helping others.
The new season of this adaptation marks the beginning of a new chapter with the introduction of Rev. Will Davenport (Tom Brittney, “Outlander”), a former inner-city chaplain and man of the people who embodies the changing postwar world. The hip reverend rides a motorcycle and listens to rock ‘n’ roll. He is young and does not possess the post-war emotional baggage that many others, including Sidney, struggle with.
Much like his fellow man of the cloth, he is considered a “boat-rocker” who em-
The young new vicar is caring, confident and self-assured, and he strives for social justice. According to ITV, the original broadcasters of the drama, Will is a man of God but has a bit of the devil inside of him. This dichotomy, as well as his troubled past, is explored over the course of the new season.
How will the skeptical DI Keating draw him into his world of crime-solving? Only time will tell, but what is certain is that the return of “Grantchester” marks the end of era as fan favorite Norton moves on to other projects after this season.
In a PBS news release, “Masterpiece” executive producer Rebecca Eaton said, “It’s a bittersweet time for ‘Grantchester’ fans, who will be cheering the return of the series but crushed to say goodbye to James.” She continued by adding that his last episodes are brilliant, and that the audience will be captivated by an interesting new vicar.
This feeling was echoed by executive producer Diederick Santer, who said: “While I’m sad that these will be James Norton’s final episodes, we will make sure he goes out with a bang. We’ve got exciting plans for where the show is heading and the vicarage won’t be vacant for long.”
Later this year, Domino’s is going to start testing selfdriving delivery cars. Yeah, self-driving delivery cars. If your pizza doesn’t crash into your house in less than 30 minutes, it’s free.
My legs are so white they could have their own show on Fox News.
The White House says Trump is going to keep using the slogan “Make America Great Again,” and wearing his usual red hat. It’s like when your kid only wants to wear that one superhero outfit to school, and you’re like, “Whatever gets you on the bus.”
Theresa May is the second prime minister to resign rather than sort out this whole Brexit mess. One more and we all get a free coffee.
O.J. Simpson is on Twitter now … . He’s only been on Twitter for like four days — he’s already got almost 700,000 followers. The last time O.J. had this many people following him, he was on the 405 headed to the Mexican border. At the White House today, Trump hosted the prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, with whom he’s had a somewhat contentious relationship. You know you have a hothead president when you have to defuse tensions with Canada.

The Fab Five are back for more heartwarming makeovers, and this time they’re in Kansas City. Season 4 of this hit reality TV series premieres Friday, July 19, and the life-changing magic of our favorite hosts will have you choked up in no time. In each episode, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski and Bobby Berk swoop into someone’s life and turn it upside down — in a good way. France overhauls the wardrobe, Van Ness takes care of the hair/makeup/skincare routines, Brown treats their soul, and Poroski teaches them a thing or two in the kitchen, all while Berk does the literal heavy lifting in the home makeover department. When all is said and done, the hosts sit back and watch as their subject implements everything he or she has learned. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll certainly cringe at some of the “before” circumstances, but the “afters” are always touching. Watch for another batch of “Queer Eye” episodes to drop later this year featuring some incredible adventures in Japan.
This Netflix mockumentary stars David Harbour (Chief Hopper from “Stranger Things”) as a thespian whose discovery of old footage of his father’s stage play “Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster, Frankenstein” takes him on an over-the-top, hilarious journey of self-discovery. This half-hour special premieres Tuesday, July 16, features a number of guest stars, including Alfred Molina (“Spider-Man 2,” 2004) and Kate Berlant (“Ghosted”), and was created by John Levenstein, one of the great minds behind “Arrested Development.”
Jerry Seinfeld’s unique comedy series kicks off its 11th season on Fri-
day, July 19, and this round features some big stars. The “Seinfeld” cocreator invites comedians — some are old friends, some he’s never met — to hop into one of his many classic or luxury cars and whisks them off to grab a cup of joe. The cameras roll as some of the funniest people in the biz discuss everything from the weather to economic projections, and each episode is gilded with comedy gold. Seth Rogen, Eddie Murphy, Ricky Gervais, Matthew Broderick, Martin Short and more — the stars have really come out for Season 11, and you won’t want to miss a minute of it.
“Mythbusters Jr”
After 14 seasons of “MythBusters” magic, hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman finally called it quits and went their separate ways. But apparently Savage had more myths to bust, and he returned earlier this year to host “MythBusters Jr.” — the scientists may be smaller, but the experiments are as big and loud as ever. Savage lends a hand as six incredibly talented young STEM experts put duct tape to the test, investigate an air-freshener bomb, and test an impossible Jenga move in the first few episodes. Is it impossible to make mayonnaise during a lightning storm? Can the
Unfortunately, Ryan based much of the book on his own experiences — his wife died in a car accident, and he found writing the book to be therapeutic. While on a promotional book tour, Ryan meets a dynamic florist named Eloise (Jennifer Aniston, “Friends”), but before their relationship can get off the ground, he must confront a hard truth that he’s been avoiding since his life took a tragic turn. Martin Sheen (“The West Wing”), Judy Greer (“Kidding”) and Dan Folger (“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” 2016) round out the cast of this traditional romantic comedy that you can watch starting Monday, July 15.

“Love Happens” (2008)
Therapist and author Burke Ryan (Aaron Eckhart, “The Dark Knight,” 2008) is riding a wave of fame, thanks to his newest book, which gives advice about how to deal with the passing of a loved one.
This documentary series goes behind the scenes of a new professional sports club each season. Premiering Friday, July 19, the fourth installment features the Carolina Panthers football team, and takes a close look at their dramatic 2018 NFL season. It’s a fascinating and heartbreaking story: the Panthers kicked off the season with earned optimism, and they seemed to be on track to retake the NFC South title from the New Orleans Saints. But halfway through the season, things began to go wrong, and dramatic victories gave way to injuries and coaching drama. Whether you’re a fan of football or just of compelling drama, this series is worth a watch.
“Trading Paint” (2019)
John Travolta stars in this film as Sam, a former racecar driver whose son, Cam (Toby Sebastian, “Game of Thrones”) is now racing at the Talladega short tracks. When Cam leaves the family business to race with Sam’s longtime rival, Linskey (Michael Madsen, “The Hateful Eight,” 2015), their family is torn apart, and Sam warns his son about Linskey’s corrupt ways. After a terrifyingly close call, father and son must come together to rebuild their relationship and restore their racing reputations. You can watch this action-drama on Friday, July 19.
Shazam!

By calling the wizard’s name, Billy is transformed into a fullgrown superhero (Levi), complete with super strength, speed, intellect and flight, plus the ability to manipulate electricity. When

Would you go on TV and admit you’re a terrible baker? I wouldn’t. If anything turns out badly in my kitchen, rightly or wrongly, you can bet I’m blaming the recipe first.
Unlike me, eight new recruits are gamely putting their egos aside in the name of learning and self-betterment. They’re OK with being called the “Worst Bakers in America,” at least during the Season 2 premiere, which airs Monday, July 15, on Food Network.
These bumbling bakers shouldn’t be terrible for much longer, since the competition
show is described as a “five-week baking boot camp.” Each week, they pick up different tips, tricks and techniques as they compete in a series of drills and games, with one contestant eliminated at the end of every episode until only two remain.
The last baker left standing will be the one who has shown the most improvement. Their reward: $25,000, plus the necessary skills and confidence to ensure they won’t be called “Worst Baker” again.
Lorraine Pascale is back as a cohost for Round 2, but this time she’s joined by Jason Smith. The selftaught cook and baker knows the kind of pressure these contestants
are under — Smith was the Season 13 winner of “Food Network Star” and the Season 3 winner of “Holi day Baking Championship.” But any sympathy for the “Worst Bakers” might be tempered by Smith’s expe rience as a judge in “Best Baker in America,” in which the contestants’ abilities placed them at the other end of the baking skills spectrum.

The Season 2 premiere is your first chance to meet the latest contestants. Get to know the “Worst Bakers in America” by tuning in to Food Network on Monday, July 15.
