Client Requirement Client is a renowned diamond studded jewelry manufacturer with their manufacturing and distribution units spread across many countries globally. Client’s business was built around a complete cycle that included procurement of raw materials in order to manufacture and distribute diamond studded jewellery globally. Client required a complete revamp of their existing B2B website with a new look and feel. Client also required that the new site be built with the latest technology using the latest WordPress CMS. Client’s specific requirements were: 

All CMS pages and Animation be managed through WordPress.

High resolution and best quality images to be rendered.



All standard WordPress configurations for site settings, email, etc. are included.

Design, conversion to HTML and Theme Integration for WordPress CMS.

As the website is specific to high profile diamond industry it requires high resolution and best quality images to be rendered. So performance and website loading speed is the biggest challenge of the requirement.



Planning The following development approach was adopted to equip the website with simple yet powerful features and functionality mentioned below:  Latest version of WordPress was used for the purpose.  Project planning consisted of proper layout design and planning for the website.  A feasibility check required to be planned for after the initial design concept and layout was ready.  Once that was done, actual coding and development was carried out.  Iterative feedback was taken to find out user acceptance and changes made as required.  Website Content and Images placing and upload were finalized.  Final Development phase was then initiated.

Architecture WordPress Architecture The website was mainly characterized by rich user interface and required a easy and professional look that entailed the use of PHP and MySQL Server basedWordPress as the CMS.

WordPress Installations generally come with one default theme. This theme is a combination of template files, style sheet files, java scripts files, image files and some other functional files that work together to create the design and functionality of a WordPress Site. Template files in WordPress are used to generate web pages and these are the files that enable customization. This means that the more the template files, the more customization you can do. Some template files can be used on all the web pages – for example – header and footer. Some template files can be used conditionally. WordPress is programmed to decide which files need to be loaded and when, generally with the help of template hierarchy rules. Some examples of template files are Header.php, Index.php, Home.php, Front-page.php, Page.php, Single.php, Category.php, author.php, search.php, 404.php, footer.php, comments.php, style.php, sidebar.php and functions.php
