Visit our Springdale or Four Corners branches to pick up a take-and-make with all the materials needed to create your own professional holiday cards. Send us a picture of your creation to events@ bramptonlibrary.ca for an extra ballot toward the Cricut Joy contest.
Don’t forget to enter our draw for a chance to win a Cricut Joy! The draw will take place on December 15, 2022.
5. Self-care Challenge
2. Comfy-Cozy Challenge
Thread a needle, sport a knitted scarf, check out a library book on crocheting, or think about anything comfy-cozy. Send a picture of how you got cozy to events@ bramptonlibrary.ca for an extra ballot toward the Cricut Joy giveaway.
3. Festive Me Challenge
However you get into the festive spirit, whether it be trimming the tree or planning your new year’s resolutions, we want you to surround yourself in it! If you’re feeling particularly creative, consider joining us at our Chinguacousy branch from 2-4 p.m. on December 3 for the International Day of Peoples with Disabilities Art Showcase. Send a picture of your experience to events@bramptonlibrary.ca for an extra ballot in the Cricut Joy contest.
Draw a bath, use essential oils (some of which you may have snagged from the artisan market), and indulge in self care. Tell us how you creatively pampered yourself by emailing events@ bramptonlibrary.ca and earn an extra ballot toward the Cricut Joy draw.
6. Hold-It Together Challenge
Call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, apply adhesive to a broken connection, or literally pull out the white glue and get crafty with a friend. Tell us how you held-it together by emailing events@bramptonlibrary.ca and earn an extra ballot toward the Cricut Joy contest.
7. Wood Ornament Take-and-Make
Visit our Mount Pleasant Village or South West branches to pick up a take-and-make with all the materials needed to transfer a coloured image onto wood to create a unique and festive ornament. Send us a picture of your creation to events@ bramptonlibrary.ca for an extra ballot toward the Cricut Joy contest.
8. Picture Perfect Challenge
Fish out an old family picture and frame it. Use our makerspace vinyl cutters to make picture stencils. Pose for a festive photo with Santa or twinkling lights in the background. Send your perfect picture to events@bramptonlibrary.ca and we’ll give you an extra ballot toward the Cricut Joy giveaway.
9. Bored? Cardboard Challenge
Round up the young people in your life and build a cardboard fort. Save your cardboard recycling and make something new out of it. Use cardboard ridges as textured stamps with paint. Get crafty and chase boredom away with cardboard and send us a picture of what you come up with to events@bramptonlibrary.ca for an extra Cricut Joy ballot.
10. Soap Take-and-Make
Visit our Cyril Clark or South Fletcher’s branches to pick up a take-and-make with all the materials needed to make your very own soap. It’s easy to do with a microwave and few simple ingredients. Send us a picture of your creation to events@ bramptonlibrary.ca for an extra ballot toward the Cricut Joy contest. Please know that Brampton Library is not responsible for allergic reactions that may arise as a result of soap use.
11. Starlight Challenge
Starlight star bright, the first star you see tonight, share with Brampton Library. Go star-gazing and send us a picture, hang festive lights and tell us about the experience, or change the lightbulbs in your home to more energy-efficient options. Get creative with light to make the season bright. Email images and stories to events@bramptonlibrary.ca for an extra Cricut Joy contest ballot.
12. Author Visit and Cricut Demonstration with Crystal Allen
