Michelle leads all aspects of Sheridan’s built-environment including sustainability, land-use and infrastructure planning, asset management, design and construction and facilities operations. As a public sector leader, Michelle has spent over 25 years in municipal government, and education administration in the UK and Canada driving key strategic initiatives, capital infrastructure development, and organizational transformation. From early in her career, Michelle has been a strong advocate for sustainability principles, social responsibility and a community focused approach. In addition to her role with Brampton Board of Trade, she also co-chairs Oakville Community Energy Taskforce.
Currently leading the Human Resources, Communication and PR function at a leading Canadian health and wellness solutions provider – as Vice-President, Human Resources, Communications and Public Relations, Donna leads a team of 35 professionals and is responsible for overseeing organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion initiatives, communications, public relations, community giving, learning and development, talent management, talent acquisition, wellness and health and safety. Internally, Donna and her team are focused on creating an inclusive culture that inspires, grows talent and allows employees to thrive at work and at home. Externally, Donna is also responsible for community engagement and public relations and plays a key role in building the brand within the communities the company serves. Donna is an elected member of the Brampton Board of Trade’s Board of Directors and has served in this role since 2017. In this capacity, Donna helps to support economic prosperity in the city of Brampton, Ontario – the province’s fourth-largest city.
Vanessa White is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Maple Lodge Farms Ltd., located in Brampton, Ontario, where she leads HR, Project Management, Continuous Improvement and Strategy for the company. Vanessa has an extensive background, with more than 20 years of experience from some of Canada’s Top 100 employers, including Sodexo Canada and Coca-Cola Bottling. Vanessa is deeply committed to creating diverse & inclusive cultures and is a strong advocate for women’s leadership in business. A native of Nova Scotia, Vanessa graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University. In addition to the Brampton Board of Trade, Vanessa is also on the Board of Directors for Eden Valley Poultry in Berwick, NS.

Jeremy serves as Director of Marketing and Communications IT Weapons (a division of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Canada). After earning his Ph.D. from Western University, he joined the ITW team in 2008. His passion for clear thinking and honest messaging is what drives the company’s communications, marketing, professional development and talent acquisition efforts. Facing outward, it’s about engaging and educating the broader community of Canadian IT professionals, clients, and peers. Internally, it’s about professional and team development within the company. Simply put, his team works to ensure that everyone understands what the company does and why they do it.

A long-term strategic planner by nature, Johanne has over 25 years of operations management experience in the advanced manufacturing sector. While passionate towards local sourcing, Johanne also welcomes the challenge of expanding borders as companies and communities seek to establish their foothold in an increasingly global economy. With “Industry 4.0” and the “Internet of Things” interconnectivity rapidly gaining momentum, Johanne advocates for inclusivity and collaboration amongst industry, government, academia and the Brampton community. A native of Montreal, and a graduate of U of T and Queens, Johanne is very excited to be a part of the Brampton Board of Trade.
Scott is an experienced and versatile telecommunications executive based in Brampton and Toronto. He has led large Operations and Sales teams across Canada and has served as a Director of Regulatory Affairs and Policy in the National Capital region. Scott is presently the Vice President of Technical Customer Service at Rogers Communications where he is accountable for the service experience of Rogers business customers.

Joe is the President of Almag Aluminum, an award winning, service-driven, custom aluminum extruder based in Brampton ON, with plants in Ardmore and Florence AL. Over the past 68 years, ALMAG has built a reputation as an industry leader in extruding high-visual, tight tolerance, thin-walled, and complex aluminum extrusions. Joe graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Administration Degree, and Durham College with a Business Administration Diploma – majoring in Accounting with a minor in Marketing at both schools. Joe has been with ALMAG for over 16 years and has held the positions of Territory Manager, VP Sales & Marketing, and General Manager. As President, he is responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction and driving its continued growth and success. He has a keen passion-for-progress and desire to find solutions. He thrives on challenges and raising people to their highest potential. Joe is a member of the Board of Directors for the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) as well as a member of both the AEC-Academic Engagement Team and the AEC Marketing Team.

Additionally, Louis has a special focus on franchise law advising franchisors as well as franchisees on all aspects of franchise law, including compliance with franchise laws and regulations, buying and selling franchises, franchise disputes and exit strategies, and renewal and termination of franchises. In addition to other professional and community involvements, Louis has been an active member of the Brampton Broad of Trade since 2012.

Author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker Daniel Lewis is the proud founder of the award winning tea company T By Daniel. His people-focused outlook on entrepreneurship and his experiential business tactics have garnered him and his company nationwide recognition and many awards and honours such as a 2016 Business Excellence Award and 2017 Top 40 Under 40 Entrepreneurs. Daniel’s success with his retail tea brand have even landed him an opportunity to serve HRH The Prince of Wales during his 2017 Royal Tour in Canada. With his official public speaking platform Daniel Speaks, he touches on his non-traditional approaches to retail, marketing, customer service, sales and the world of entrepreneurship with audiences all across Canada and abroad.
Keith was appointed Senior Vice-President, Consumer Product Supply Chain in August 2018. He is responsible for the execution and expansion of CN’s intermodal and automotive businesses, leading the commercial teams and non-rail operations in his supply chains, and adapting all last-mile services for customers. He oversees all aspects of the Company’s domestic and international intermodal and automotive activities, as well as freight forwarding services in North America and Asia, and CN’s Supply Chain Sales groups, corporate revenue planning, and business development. Passionate about logistics, Keith has more than 25 years of experience in the field; he also held senior positions with outside firms in the world of logistics for a number of years. Keith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and an MBA from the University of North Florida. Kate is an associate lawyer with Prouse, Dash & Crouch LLP. With her thoughtful approach to client needs and careful attention to detail, Kate is able to assist her clients to make well informed decisions whether they are developing an estate plan, owning a property, or making business decisions. Kate offers her clients strategic legal thinking that is both compassionate and supportive in matters which are often emotionally charged. Born and raised in Brampton, Kate joined PDC upon her return to her hometown after university. Kate began with PDC as an articling student in 2011 and joined the firm as an associate in 2012. Outside of law, Kate enjoys photography, yoga, and travel.

Steve Stevens has been at RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust since 2010, starting as a Property Manager and then was quickly promoted into the role of Regional Director of Operations in 2013. In his current role, Steve oversees the West GTA which is one of the largest regions at RioCan, and includes: Shoppers World Brampton, Trinity Common Brampton, Riocentre Brampton (Wanless) and Heart Lake Town Centre. Prior to joining RioCan, Steve worked in real estate appraisals, managed multi-residential buildings and ran a successful restaurant business for 14 years in Orangeville with his brother. Steve went to St. Lawrence College for Appraisal and Assessment, had his real estate license, is Real Property Administrator (RPA) designated, is Facility Management Administrator (FMA) designated and has recently completed the Ivey Leadership Program. An active community member, Steve has served as Vice-Chair of the Orangeville BIA, and participated in many recreational programs in the Orangeville community. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and teenage son, traveling, skiing, and playing golf.
Kanwar is a technocrat with over 30 years’ experience in the instrumentation and process control automation sector. He is founder of Just Instruments Inc. ISO 9001-2015 accredited company, which serves the process control industry in food, beverage and bakery sector. He is an entrepreneur and a highly experienced engineer from India with vast experience in the field of industrial instrumentation and automation. Just Instruments provides full service of calibration, validation, sales, repairs and complete automation solution for process control instrumentation with complete satisfaction in a professional way that focuses on honesty, integrity and creativity. Kanwar is a life member of Indo Canada Chamber of commerce and led the ICCC as president in 2017-18. Kanwar has been an active volunteer with the Brampton Board of Trade, serving on the International Trade Committee as chair, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and was the recipient of the Inaugural Chair’s Award in 2017. He is also a licensed realtor. He volunteers with various non-profit organizations.
Todd has been building strong businesses and healthy communities for more than 25 years. Todd is CEO of the Brampton Board of Trade, representing businesses that employ more than 61,000 in Brampton. In 2020, Todd was appointed as a commissioner on the international Certified Chamber Executive Commission. Highly respected by his peers, in 2019 Todd was elected to represent Canada on the World Chambers Federation Governing Council. That same year he was appointed by the Minister of Transportation to Ontario’s Business Advisory Council on Transit in the Innovation Corridor. In 2015, Todd was awarded the James Carnegie Award for leadership and mentorship by Chamber Executives of Ontario. He is a founding member of the Canadian Global Cities Council and Canada’s Innovation Corridor Business Council. Todd is a Ford fellow in Regionalism & Sustainable Development, an honour bestowed by the United States Ford Foundation. He is the former chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Executives Council (CCEC) and a past director of the U.S.-based Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).
