WHO? After nearly 20 years & 175+ shows all around Europe with his metal band founding member
Bram decided to finally combine his love for guitar, electronic music and macabre cinema into one all encompassing audiovisual project: THE NIGHTSTALKER. A few months later their debut EP ‘Destination Dystropia’ was released on cassette (sold out). The lineup was then consolidated when drummer extraordinaire Steve joined the fold. Before they knew it they were supporting French synthwave greats Carpenter Brut in front of 500+ elated fans. Meanwhile buzz generated over the non-conventional musical approach and a very strong social media presence steeped in a lifelong fascination for subversive art and horror movies, dystopia and counter culture in particular.
LIVE they bring a menacing, immersive audiovisual experience combining pro musicianship with carefully curated & synchronized video projections highlighting all the good ànd bad the 80s had to offer. Highlights so far include: supporting Carpenter Brut, WT Festival, playing with Wolfgang Flür (Kraftwerk), Mortiis, etc.
‘DEATHBRINGER‘ DEBUT FULL LENGTH
The NightStalker is a declaration of love to beat up backstreets, seedy red light districts and the all the wicked horrors that lurk in the shadows of the night. A fictional soundtrack to an obscure 80s slasher flick that has never been made.
In 2018 Bram launched a KickStarter campaign to fund their first full length record ‘DeathBringer’ which became an overwhelming succes. The goal was reached in less than 24 hours! This alongside his vocation as a graphic designer & marketing savviness gave Bram the luxury to make no concessions in regards to pressing/artwork/musical direction. Something their fans (from Europe to South Korea) and collectors appreciate tremendously. It has been released on splatter vinyl, Atari styled retro tapes (sold out overnight) and regular cassettes alongside 80s tropes like buttons, stickers, posters etc. All well within the beloved 80s aesthetic but unlike most of their peers with a penchant for the macabre. It futher consolidated the sound TNS was aiming for with influences ranging from new/cold wave to classical music, EBM and extreme metal.
REFERENCES include John Carpenter, Tangerine Dream, Front 242, The Neon Judgment, Perturbator,
Carpenter Brut, Danger, etc but with a more contemporary production and the addition of 7 string guitars.
Future plans & goals: New record mixed & mastered in 2019. Finding reliable and professional bookers and unique shows. If possible: Tour.
