I want my work to speak in layers but be full of context in the viewers mind. I want someone to look upon an image and see something then another person come and elaborate in that initial revelation they received. When I was creating the costumes for this set, the girls who represented "On Earth" I wanted to have grounded elements and neutral color schemes. The headpiece for earth I made from a globe sitting upon her head with streams of glory flowing over her face. Her face art represents the island chains spread out as well, another way of representing people as islands scattered all over yet under the glory and watch of God. The second heavenly messenger yet walking the earth, acts as an acting watchman for those on the earth...her fashion is also another detail element of the reflective nature of heaven & receiver of revelation. This is an example of how I compose my work, but its up to the viewer of the image to interpret the rest of the story. My hope & desire is to share my work with others who appreciate the glamour, design and fashion of the art, yet also have sensitive spirits to see another layer of beauty that comes from a higher source. -Brande Wilkerson
