So many of us forget or simply under estimate the power of cross marketing, with other business. Try these simple steps below to help jump-start your email list.
Start Building
-Open a clean excel file label it email list -Write down all the names and emails that you have in your phone -Ask all your close friends for email addresses to everyone they know who will be interested in your sector of business
Permission to Speak Before you blabber off at the mouth, make sure you have permission to speak to your new email list. You have to know your customer and what drives them. Are they bargain people? Do they love to be first? Or would they just love to be in the loop? Knowing what they want matters, that is if you want them to open the email and listen to what you have to say. Example: If you’re a women’s luxury boutique chances are your customers love to be first. Email worthy content would be introducing a new designer or giving them 1st dips on designer sales.

Your business line should be treated as such, and not a hold on let me call the sitter line. This line needs to grow with you and most importantly be separate from your personal daily phone. This needs to be a number you’re comfortable giving out to your customer.
Your Next Customer Is A Click Away!
Google maps is another free essential service, we are in the era of smart phones and your customers should be able to find you at all times. You are also able to add your company even without a physical location. Cloud phones has made it so easy to purchase a line and even forward the calls to your cell while on the go, try the free demo with ringcentral.
The more content and links your company has on the net, the more your customers will be able to find your company. Even if you don’t have a physical location you are still able to list your site information, you’re also able to edit your store info etc as it might change. www.google.com/+/business

How Social Are You?
Business Structure
Social media is the new wave, its sweeping nations changing lives and even the way we do business. In today’s economy you have 2 options get social or get lost, larger companies are having a trouble trying to convert.
Sole Proprietorship A sole proprietorship is the simplest and most common structure chosen to start a business. It is an unincorporated business owned and run by one individual with no distinction between the business and you, the owner. You are entitled to all profits and are responsible for all your business’s debts, losses and liabilities.
Customers want to feel an emotional attachment to their purchases, and social media gives them that connection they desire. How often do we meet our instagram buddies and think to ourselves, their nothing like what I imagined? The moral of the story people get social, get emotional and sale more.
Easy tax preparation. Your business is not taxed separately, so it’s easy to fulfill the tax reporting requirements for a sole proprietorship. The tax rates are also the lowest of the business structures. Limited Liability Company A limited liability company is a hybrid type of legal structure that provides the limited liability features of a corporation and the tax efficiencies and operational flexibility of a partnership. The “owners” of an LLC are referred to as “members.” Depending on the state, the members can consist of a single individual (one owner), two or more individuals, corporations or other LLCs. Since the federal government does not recognize LLC as a business entity for taxation purposes, all LLCs must file as a corporation, partnership, or sole proprietorship tax return. Certain LLCs are automatically classified and taxed as a corporation by federal tax law. Corporation A corporation (sometimes referred to as a C corporation) is an independent legal entity owned by shareholders. This means that the corporation itself, not the shareholders that own it, is held legally liable for the actions and debts the business incurs.
Tips for Social Media -Pick a name that isn’t offensive -Make sure the name is cohesive throughout all social pages. -Make sure your contact information is on your page.
Partnership Taxes A partnership must file an “annual information return” to report the income, deductions, gains and losses from the business’s operations, but the business itself does not pay income tax. Instead, the business “passes through” any profits or losses to its partners.
_Never argue with customers via social media. -Encourage your followers to invite their friends to follow
Partnership A partnership is a single business where two or more people share ownership. Each partner contributes to all aspects of the business, including money, property, labor or skill. In return, each partner shares in the profits and losses of the business.
_ Make sure you POST relevant content on a regular basis.

Corporations are more complex than other business structures because they tend to have costly administrative fees and complex tax and legal requirements.

The Secret To Success
The Web Counts If you have a physical business or just an idea protect your idea today and register your name with the World Wide Web. Ideas are viral and the spread fast from 1 person to the next secure your site name today. I am a firm believer in this age everyone should have a presence on the web, even if its just an informational page for hours of operation etc. I am personally not a fan of the big cartel and wix sites, it doesn’t show that you cared enough to set yourself apart from others you took the easy way out. -Godaddy.com -Simplewebsetup.com -siteground.com -Wordpress.com
domain name
- the part of a network address that identifies it as belonging to a particular domain.

Your Business culture speaks loudly not only to your customers but to your employees. What you stand for, as a company is your culture. Neiman Marcus has a no return hassle policy, so arguing with a customer over not having a receipt isn’t acceptable. If you set out to make sure everyone knows the culture, there will be fewer problems. The culture can be written in a mission statement or other formats so that everyone is on the same page.
