Speedlimitsaredesignedtoreduceriskandaredeterminedbyavarietyoffactors traffic,pedestrianvolume, androaddesign.Whentheyareset,theyassumethatroadandweatherconditionsareideal.Thatmeansin poorconditionssuchasicyroadsorlowvisibility,thepostedspeedlimitistoofast.
Ifyouapplythattobusiness,thepaceofyourworkandthedemandofthepeoplearoundyou,potentially movingatafasterspeed,doesn’tnecessarilymeanyouhavetokeepup,ordoesit?Inourworkplace,wemove quick,forsomeitcouldfeellikechaos,forus,it’snormal.

Ithinkthelasttwoyearsofvolatilityconnedusintothinkingourpandemic pacewasnormal,alas,2022,has remindedusofwhatbusyfeelslike Ittakesusallabitoftimetogetuptofullspeed Atourshop,weseemtoget intothechaosandspeedoftheseasonandthenrealizeweareinthechaosandspeedoftheseason,andquite honestly,wearealwaysalittlesurprised AndIwouldtellyou,weareateamthatneedstobebusy,weareateam thatneedstobemovingfast Iwouldtellyou;wethriveonitandourbusinessdependsonit
Eachbusinesshasitsownspeed,itsownkindofchaos,itsownteamdynamic,anditsownculturalacceptanceof speed Thefasteryougo,themorecommittedyouneedtobewhenyoumakedecisionsbecauseyouhaveless timeandfeweroptionstochangeyourmind Whenmovingfast,youmustpayattention,bealert,andbefocused Adriverneedstounderstandhowfasttheircarcanbedriven,justlikeabusinessowner/leaderneedstoknow howfastyourteamcanmove Ifyoumisjudge,theriskamplifiesforthefunctionalityofthevehicle,andyour abilitytonavigateconditions,justlikeyourbusiness.

TheBrandonChamberofCommercehadabusy monthcomingoutofsummerandjumpingintofall WekickedoffourfirsteventofthemonthwithourFirst FridayCoffeeonSeptember2nd.Thelongweekend countdownwason,andpeoplewereeagertomingle overtheirmorningcoffee.Theturnoutwasgreat,and ourmembersgottomeetthenewstaff,aswellas someboardmembers!
DaytodaytaskspickeduphereattheChamberas committeemeetingsbeganagain,alongwithsome largercelebrations,suchasRedKayak'sgrand opening,ortheCARMbarbeque.

theShiftingLandscapeofEmployment".Emergingfroma pandemicmeansthatthedefinitionofworkculturehas changed,andwhatthatmightlooklikenow.Meganalso spokeonthecurrentemploymentshortage,andwhythis makesretentionapriorityformostbusinessownersnow.
