Call for Interns NewFilmmakers New York is looking for interns! Come join our team and learn about the world of film exhibition. Ideal candidates should have an interest in filmmaking, PR/Marketing, or Event planning and execution. You may not meet Brad Pitt, but you will learn how to put together target lists, create weekly newsletters, and discover what film festivals are really looking for when you submit your film. No experience necessary but candidates should have a working knowledge of standard word processing and spreadsheets (HTML is a plus). If this sounds interesting to you send a quick note over to Barney@NewFilmmakers.com or Brandon@NewFilmmakers.com and we’ll setup a meeting.

Letter from the Editor
Congratulations to all of our Summer 2015 films! For many, NewFilmmakers is the first step on a journey that takes them all around the world. NewFilmmakers prides itself on screening films that are often over looked and giving lesser represented groups opportunities to see their films on the big screen. This Summer we have three full nights of films that are produced or directed by women filmmakers. Lili White and Tova-Beck-Friedman have both been with NewFilmmakers as curators for as long as I can remember. Without them we wouldn’t be able to put as much spotlight on women filmmakers as we do. In July we are hosting our first quarterly acceptance party and are looking forward to meeting some of our local filmmakers who will be screening with us. We hope this gives an opportunity to get answers to some of our commonly asked questions about screener delivery, tickets, and location. This should also be a great opportunity to meet one or more of the filmmakers who share programs. We hope you enjoy our programs this quarter and get a chance to experience them with your family and friends. Brandon Ruckdashel Director of Programming
