A MESSAGE FROM CHAIRPERSON KEITH WHITE On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to welcome the residents of Mount Pearl and surrounding areas to the 33rd Annual Frosty Festival. The Frosty Festival has been a fixture in the City of Mount Pearl since 1983 and has grown into the largest winter event in Atlantic Canada. This year’s Festival features over 60 events. There is something for everyone – returning favorites such as Opening Night, Frosty’s Birthday Party and the Old Fashioned Jiggs Dinner and newer events including Frosty Uncorked, the International Food & Craft Fair and Frosty After Dark. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Frosty’s Board of Directors, staff, communit y groups and volunteers who are at the core of the Festival. Without your unwavering dedication, we could not offer the program of events that we do. I would also like to acknowledge and thank Frosty’s generous corporate sponsors, the City of Mount Pearl and government partners. Simply put, this event would not be possible without your generosity. Please enjoy the Festival and I look forward to seeing you throughout the week. Keith White Chairperson

There is something for everyone to enjoy so grab your parkas, mitts and toques and join in a new adventure! The Frosty Festival provides an opportunity for friends and family to enjoy our amazing winter season. Thank you to the remarkable volunteers, community groups, sponsors, partners, businesses and staff for your excellent efforts to make this event possible. I applaud the organizers for your dedication and hard work which results in a Festival that makes us all proud. I wish you all a very memorable Frosty Festival. I look forward to seeing you there! A MESSAGE FROM THE PREMIER HON. PAUL DAVIS Families, friends, community. When you think about the things that really matter and make us stronger, they happen to be the very things we celebrate each year when we come together for the Mount Pearl Frosty Festival. It takes a great deal of hard work to pull this off, but it’s a true labour of love for organizers, who outdo themselves every year, arranging fun activities that will appeal to everyone, making this festival a major highlight of Newfoundland and Labrador’s winter season. So bundle up, bring out the whole family and take full advantage of the opportunities to “chill out” with friends and neighbours. I hope to see you there! Paul Davis Premier of Newfoundland Labrador and MHA for Topsail
A MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY PREMIER HON. STEVE KENT Each year, I look forward to attending the Mount Pearl Frosty Festival and have attended since its inception. It is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the winter season. As always, this Frosty Festival is a family event and I encourage all residents to take advantage of all the activities during the Festival. I would like to extend a special thank you to all the volunteers and others who make this winter carnival a success, year after year. Thanks to the Board of Directors, our community groups and sponsors, and to the City of Mount Pearl for ensuring that this event remains a tradition in Mount Pearl. It is through your dedication and commitment that events such as this one are possible. As we come together in the spirit of winter and during the Frosty Festival, please take part and enjoy. I look forward to seeing you at the Festival. Best wishes, Steve Kent MHA for Mount Pearl North

A MESSAGE FROM MOUNT PEARL SOUTH MHA PAUL LANE Once again this year, the Frosty Festival Committee have planned many events and activities with something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for activities with the little ones, a scoff and scuff, a game of cards or a night of some of the best entertainment Newfoundland and Labrador has to offer, Frosty Festival 2015 has it all. Of course none of this would be possible if it were not for the support and efforts of many community groups, organizations and individuals. With that in mind, I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the Frosty Festival Committee, the amazing corporate sponsors and the tremendous community minded volunteers who have worked so hard to bring this year’s festival to fruition. I encourage each and every citizen to get out there and enjoy the many great activities that Frosty Festival has to offer and I look forward to chatting with you all there. Paul Lane MHA for Mount Pearl South
A MESSAGE FROM ST. JOHN’S SOUTH - MOUNT PEARL MP
RYAN CLEARY
Frosty mornings with the sun shining on the new snow, I’ll be there to join my Frosty friends for a great family breakfast. Frosty afternoons on the hill or at the rink, I’ll be there. Frosty evenings in front of the fire, or enjoying magic, or with a frosty mug, and a game of darts, Old Man Winter won’t get me down. Congratulations, and thank you, to the organizers, volunteers, partners and the families of Mount Pearl who for more than 30 years have filled our hearts with warmth and helped chase dreary winter from our year. It is this spirit of volunteerism, community support and camaraderie that makes the City of Mount Pearl a great place to live. We have a strong sense of home. So get out there and enjoy. There is something for everyone. I’m personally looking forward to seeing you all at this year’s Frosty Festival. Ryan Cleary MP for St.John’s South-Mount Pearl
