Over the past year, the OSU Alumni Association has continued to serve its more than 207,000 living alumni and friends. The organization is entering the second year of a threeyear strategic plan, which is serving as a road map as it strives to serve as a connection to OSU.

GRANDPARENT UNIVERSITY Grandparent University is a three-day intergenerational learning experience for OSU Legacies and their grandparents. This year, the Alumni Association hosted more than 520 attendees and 28 majors.

Student Alumni Association members are gaining connections for life.

MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS Members benefit by saving hundreds of dollars via exclusive discounts offered by the Alumni Association. This year’s Cotton Bowl game savings for a family of four was $292. Discounts included hotel, OSU University Store shopping and an AT&T Stadium Tour.

COWBOYS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

Cowboys for Higher Education hosted three receptions honoring Cowboys in the state legislature. They also held a Capitol Cowboy breakfast at the Capitol featuring special guest speaker President Hargis.

CAR TAG

The new OSU car tag was introduced featuring OSU’s signature orange and the school’s mascot, Pistol Pete. $20 from each car tag sale is designated for scholarships to support OSU-bound students from Oklahoma high schools.

HOMECOMING

The Alumni Association Homecoming Endowment reached a milestone goal this past year. We are now able to provide funding in excess of $20,000 to student groups participating in Homecoming activities. To make a donation, visit osugiving.org/homecoming.

NEW LEADERSHIP

The OSU Alumni Association Board of Directors named Chris Batchelder the organization’s 13th president in its 116-year history. Batchelder was born and raised in Bartlesville, Okla. He graduated from OSU in 1995 with a degree in marketing and a minor in advertising. He previously served as the Alumni Association’s development director from 1998 to 2004 helping to raise funds to construct the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. Chris and his wife, Angie, have three children: twin daughters Abbey and Emily, 16, and son Brady, 8.
