By Gary J. Groman, Independent Writer On July 16, 2021, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmidt announced that Stone County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Selby had issued a 63-count felony complaint against three Ride the Ducks Bran-

son employees. Those employees were Kenneth Scott McKee, Charles Baltzell, and Curtis Lanham. All the charges relate to their alleged involvement in the sinking of Stretch Duck #7 (DUCK) in Table Rock Lake on July 19, 2018, with the loss of 17 lives.

The Statement of Probable Cause relating to the complaint by Mark D. Green, a Master Sergeant with the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Marine Division, was the basis for the complaint. It said, “On SEE DUCK SINKING, PAGE 5

Held at Branson’s God and Country Theater and hosted by Senator Mike Moon and State Representative Brian Seitz, the meeting featured discussion on such topics as COVID-19 vaccine mandates, masking, and critical race theory.
