Branson JROTC students conduct flag raising ceremony Submitted to Branson Globe Students from Branson High School’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) conducted a flag raising ceremony at the recent Veteran Rise and
Shine Service organized by Branson Bank. The commemoration honored several area Veterans for their service and sacrifice to our country and community. As the bank’s large, garrison-sized flag
was raised in their honor, the community was able to witness the recognition of local Veterans: Tom Center, John Manning, Kenneth SEE FLAG RAISING, PAGE 5
By K.D. Michaels, Staff Writer Many braved the chilly weather on a beautiful Tuesday morning recently to attend a Rise and Shine Ceremony at Branson Bank to honor the organization’s recent ‘Veterans of the Quarter.’ In the past, the Branson Bank has paid tribute to a different area veteran every three months as their Veteran of the Quarter. During the COVID-19 pandemic when public gatherings were discouraged, those celebrations were put on hold, but bank officials and community members gathered last week to celebrate the Veterans of the quarter for the previous 18 months. Those in attendance were treated to beautiful music by Branson vocalist Nicole Starling, including a stunning rendition of the National Anthem. The Branson High SEE CEREMONY, PAGE 5
