WELCOME Welcome to the celebration of great music, stunning natural beauty, and inspiration that is Bravo! Vail. Our 33rd season kicks off with the debut of Chamber Orchestra of Europe featuring dazzling pianist Yuja Wang. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra celebrates Dvořák and Mozart, The Fabulous Philadelphians rejoice in the majesty of the mountains with Strauss’s epic Alpine Symphony, and superstar Kelli O’Hara joins the renowned New York Philharmonic. Summer 2020 will feature Bravo! Vail’s inaugural Immersive Experiences series—a riveting 3-concert deep dive into Beethoven’s complete piano and violin sonatas. This new series expands our incredible variety of intimate performances including the elegance of The Linda & Mitch Hart Soirée Series, the eclectic Chamber Music Series, category-defying Classically Uncorked presented by Meiomi Wine, and the electrifying After Dark sessions. Beyond the concert hall and throughout the year, Bravo! Vail’s Education & Engagement Programs ensure that the widest possible audience experiences the power of music, creating connections through fascinating behind-the-scenes programs, meaningful community partnerships, and free concerts for all ages. Chamber Orchestra of Europe Superstar pianist Yuja Wang joins one of Europe’s finest collaborations in their 3-night Bravo! Vail debut.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra Classical, romantic, cinematic, or rock & roll, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s unforgettable programs offer something for everyone.

The Philadelphia Orchestra The distinctive sound and legacy of The Fabulous Philadelphians are on full display under the captivating musical talent of Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

The Linda & Mitch Hart Soirée Series These exclusive evenings are truly once-in-a-lifetime experiences, where audiences enjoy extraordinary performances and gourmet meals, all in the intimate setting of stunning private homes.

Chamber Music Series This season’s Chamber Music programs showcase the vast variety of this intimate art form. Winds and strings, ensemble and solo, classical masterworks and original compositions; the 2020 Chamber Music Series has something for music lovers of all persuasions.

Bravo! Vail After Dark This high-energy series features one exciting musical adventure after another with diverse performances by visionary artists in Vail’s favorite live music nightclub — Shakedown Bar.

Immersive Experiences New in 2020, this profound series surrounds audiences over three consecutive evenings with Beethoven’s sonatas for piano and violin beautifully performed in their entirety by Anne-Marie McDermott and Ida Kavafian. Pre-concert talks, a film screening, and artist Q&As create a fascinating weekend journey into one of the most innovative and influential composers of all time.

Classically Uncorked PRESENTED BY MEIOMI WINE

Explore the resonance and interplay between “old” and “new” music through innovative programs and unexpected pairings. Vail’s Education & Engagement programs connect kids with hands-on musical experiences, inspire lifelong learning, and share the joy of music with the broadest possible audience. Bravo! Instruction Cultivates and inspires young people to learn music Bravo! Vail plays a unique role in the Vail Valley, by not only inspiring and entertaining but also educating. Bravo’s popular after-school programs include group classes and performance opportunities throughout the year. During the summer season, students are invited to a designated Music Education Night concert, and meet-andgreets with Festival artists.

Professional Development Promotes and develops the next generation of artists and arts leaders Bravo! Vail is proud to identify and showcase outstanding emerging artists in the early stages of their careers. Piano Fellows and Chamber Musicians in Residence gain valuable opportunities to perform, teach, and learn side-by-side with renowned Festival musicians, while Bravo’s Summer Internship Program is unsurpassed in its reputation of advancing participants into successful careers in arts administration and nonprofit management.
