CERAMICS: MAKE IT YOURS & HAND-BUILDING CLAY PROJECTS
Create fanciful faces, animal sculptures, and interesting slab-built plates by using hand building techniques. Form your creative pieces and discover how to decorate with colors and textures. Demonstrations and your chance to get on the potter’s wheel included; no prior ceramics experience needed.
CERAMICS: HANDMADE PINCH POTS
Explore the option of making a bowl, vase, or jar. Starting with a pinch pot, students will add coils to gradually build the height of their piece. Practice basic hand-building techniques. All skill levels welcome.
CERAMICS: CASTLE BUILDING
Practice forming castles and other architectural structures out of clay. Starting with an oval slab as a foundation, students will add towers, walls, roofing and windows to build their own castle. Learn and practice fundamentals of clay sculpture. All skill levels welcome.
MUSICAL THEATER & DANCE
Ready to practice basic jazz technique and fundamentals? Move to your favorite musical tunes to warm-up with basic steps. Learn traveling steps across the stage and create group formations of synchronous movement. Learn non-verbal acting, character work and relationship-building with the music. Dancers will learn their unique roles in familiar musical productions and present at Friday’s open session.

Take this opportunity to explore the animal world and discover what makes them tick. You will spend time in the lab, vet clinic, and BRCC barn learning animal care, behavior, and what makes animals sick and how to heal them.
PRE-VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY
Explore the veterinary world and learn the roles of the veterinarian, vet technician, and veterinary assistant. Learn the basics of animal handling, operation of a veterinary hospital, and common medical problems of animals.
BUILDING A COMPUTER FROM PARTS
Build a complete computer system from parts and load the operating system. Learn the basics of how each part works in a computer system and how to increase performance.
LEARNING ABOUT DRONE TECHNOLOGY
Discover many applications of drone technology with hands-on flight time. Student pilots will navigate a drone through an obstacle course. Covers basic rules and how to fly a drone safely and legally. Also provides information about the Remote ID rule for drones that goes into effect in September 2023.

ADVANCED ROBOTICS
For students with an interest in engineering. Construct robotic devices using artificial intelligence that will be programmed into the operation of the robotic device. You will control the automation of the robotic device and have it make decisions based on its environment using sensors.
WEB DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING
Learn the basics of web design and programming by coding your own website from scratch in HTML5, designing it to perfection using CSS, and bringing it to life with JavaScript. By the end of the week, you’ll have a stunning interactive website to show others and a solid foundational knowledge of web design, web development, and programming.
