Projected Visions at the Blue River, by Ryan Patrick Griffin 8:30 to 11 pm | Riverwalk Center Facade Visual artwork projected on the building’s façade using projection mapping and a graphic pen tablet to paint thematic imagery.

LightScapes, by Collin Parson 5 to 11 pm | Old Masonic Hall An installation of illuminated boxes that captures the principles of geometrics, light, space, color and dimension using fluorescent and light emitting diodes.

Temporal Currents, by Vera Amaya 5 to 11 pm | Old Masonic Hall An interactive audio and visual installation exploring the array of submerged soundscapes from movements and narratives through water.

My Your Our Water, by Erin V. Sotak 5 to 11 pm | Blue River Bikeway & Dredge Pond A multi-platform social engagement project and installation that explores perceptions of water in the community.

The Pool, by Jen Lewin (Boulder, CO) 5 to 11 pm | Blue River Plaza A playground of colored platforms that respond to human interaction, creating giant pools of light as people touch, walk and jump on them.

Luminous Movement, with Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance 5 pm, 7 pm, 9 pm | Riverwalk Center Lawn A series of movement pieces performed on and around the bridges, lawn and riverbanks.

WAVE Reels, with Breckenridge Film Festival 9 to 11 pm | Old Masonic Hall Thu, Sat, Sun: A series of playful shorts representing light, water and sound. Fri: A short look at hard issues associated with water, screened al fresco.

This free festival features dazzling, innovative artworks by local and international artists, including: Jen Lewin (Boulder, CO), KAZ Shirane (Tokyo, Japan), Ryan Patrick Griffin (Los Angeles, CA), Erin V. Sotak (Scottsdale, AZ), Collin Parson (Denver, CO) and Vera Amaya (Los Angeles, CA). WAVE also features collaborations with the National Repertory Orchestra, Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance and Breckenridge Film Festival, along with a variety of pop-up performances, workshops, artist talks and late-night experiments.

WAVE is a 4-day public art celebration taking place in and around the Blue River Plaza in downtown Breckenridge, transforming the river, bridges and waterfront areas into canvases, stages and exhibition spaces. Featuring interactive artworks themed around light, water and sound, WAVE offers a variety of temporary installations, musical performances, digital art and eye candy of all sizes for the whole family to experience.
