RURAL BEAUTY

The charms of a Trenderway wedding are boundless, extending from the stunning listed farmhouse, restored Cornish stone barns and five-star AA award-winning accommodation to the secluded garden, spring fed lake, rolling meadows and pretty courtyard. And with all of this nestled in a picturesque rural setting on Cornwall’s south coast, plus a wedding team dedicated to helping you design a day tailored entirely to your vision, a celebration here promises to be nothing short of dreamy.

Presenting two new exclusive-use packages for 2021-2022, couples can choose from Trenderway’s One Night Wedding Package and the Reception Only Wedding Package to ensure a tailor-made celebration. The One Night package presents a host of features, from your choice of four licensed ceremony locations to one night’s accommodation for 14 people, use of the Linhay Barn, bridal suite, library, two fully stocked and staffed bars, and a wedding breakfast room for up to 150 guests (and up to 250 for the evening reception).

Then there’s the extras: chairs, tables, white table linen and napkins for up to 80 guests, two glasses of house wine per person, and the use of garden furniture and barbecue, the PA system and various lighting and bunting, alongside the venue’s planning services and a dedicated team of staff for the weekend. Meanwhile, couples looking for a reception-only event can enjoy a similar selection of benefits individually scaled to suit the size of your guest list, plus your choice of laid-back and delicious catering provided by Cooplet & Co.

BY THE SEA

If the words ‘boutique’ and ‘beachside’ match your description of a dream wedding, The Rockpool looks set to make your vision beautifully manifest. Licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships while presenting a sublime setting to host your private party, The Rockpool boasts a prime position in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty atop the sand dunes between Gwithian and Godrevy on Cornwall’s stunning north coast.

Set within stone-hurling distance of the water’s edge, the newly renovated wedding event space is the perfect fusion of barefoot and rustic, inviting the outdoors in to breathtaking effect. Bathed in natural light while framing the seascape, the décor blends a palette of ocean blues and sandy shades spliced with leafy green plants, plush soft furnishings and a log burner, making for a light and airy setting in the warmer months, and a cosy and atmospheric space in the depths of winter.

Expect fresh, flavourful and unfussy food from head chef Ryan Venning, using only the best seasonal Cornish produce locally sourced from land and sea, alongside a dedicated events team complete with personal recommendations and a top-notch supplier list. Working closely with each couple to design a bespoke celebration, you can look forward to a wedding brimming with fabulous flavours and coastal romance – just imagine basking in the scenic surrounds and taking those first steps into married life with the sand between your toes.

The Secret Of Small Weddings

Hot on the heels of winning Silver for Tourism Innovation and Gold for Wedding Venue of the Year in the Cornwall Tourism Awards, Cornish wedding venue Treseren has gone on to be crowned the Wedding Venue of the Year in the South West Tourism Awards 2020/2021.

This win is an impressive achievement for Treseren, a Georgian gem just 10 minutes from Cornwall’s north coast. The idyllic destination wedding venue specialises in elopements and intimate weddings for up to 22, offering a gorgeous setting and a relaxed, intimate ambience. At its heart is a beautiful Mine Captain’s House, matched in beauty by its private and picturesque grounds, with accommodation to extend a wedding into a three-day celebration.

While the venue was able to host a number of weddings between lockdowns, the past year has seen owners Emma and Paul Caddis taking the opportunity to enhance their offering. The venue now offers a new organic play area, a lavish cocktail bar with a gold ceiling, and a covered outdoor terrace.

“At Treseren, we have grown to know the secret about small, beautiful weddings – those couples choosing to be selective with their guest list can create a really special and magical experience,” says Emma. “We set out to create a relaxed wedding experience where couples could retreat and enjoy a celebration over a few days, encompassing the wedding day.”

Hidden Treasure

Tucked away amidst rolling countryside in a leafy corner of west Cornwall, Stennack Farm’s sense of seclusion adds to its wildly romantic charm. Just a 12-minute drive from the north coast and golden sands of Godrevy, the family-run working farm offers a newly converted wedding barn, rustic outbuildings and luxury accommodation amidst acres of lush grounds to enjoy quality time with friends and family not to mention countless idyllic opportunities for photographs.

With three licensed options for ceremonies, you can choose to marry and celebrate in the purpose-built Wedding Barn before sweeping views across the valley, or, for a more intimate experience with up to 20 guests, there’s the Old Cow Barn. If the weather permits, you might take your vows outside on the lawn, stepping into the Pixie Hut for parts of the ceremony, followed by an al fresco feast in the grounds. With an area for a marquee extension if required, a fully staffed bar, large catering kitchen, furnishings, glassware and a PA system, Stennack Farm also offers offer on-the-day coordination or a full planning service – giving you total peace of mind.

Whether you choose a weekend celebration or a midweek wedding stay, the versatile and charm-packed venue has a package to suit, together with accommodation for 20 in three luxury properties, a children’s play area, hot tub, barbecue hut and plenty of space for camping.

A collaboration from a talented team of wedding suppliers, this styled shoot showcases the gorgeous potential of the Wedding Barn. Flooded with natural light and rural panoramas, the shoot draws on the distinct location to inspire a wedding scene styled with shades of green and white, and fresh, organic touches. From the striking ceremony arch to the cake and stationery, the details ooze an elegant, modern aesthetic, perfect for a scenic and secluded wedding in this rural idyll.
