The logo is inspired by the coastal flora that is localised along the foredunes and rocky outcrops of Queensland. The colours blue and orange has been specifically chosen to ar ticulate the vibrancy of the Gold Cold. The orange represents the sun, beach and sand along the coast. The blue represents the ocean. The colour palette conveys a bright, fun and inviting feel to the program.

BeachCare BeachCare is a program that promotes environmental stewardship within the Gold Coast community by providign them with an opportunity to give something back and become involved in caring for their coastal environment.

Coastal Knowledge Hub The CKH project is being undertaken by GCCM on behalf of CGCC to record and preserve in one location the state of knowledge on coastal processes and management that have gained over the last 60 years of human invention on Gold Coast beaches.

ABOUT US The Coastal Community Engagement Program is a partnership initiative with the City of Gold Coast. Devloped to maximise community understanding of natural coastal processes and management strategies for the local beaches, foreshores and dunes. By bridging the gap between research, management and community, the program builds community awareness, provides education and coastal community action opportunities for community members to be involved. CoastEd and BeachCare are 2 separate programs that are part of the coastal community engagement program. In 2015 the Coastal Community Engagement program won the national coastal award for that sector. Both programs have been in operation for the past 15 years and have built up a trustworthy repution within the community.
