m n strat on Dear Class of 2006, This year full of exciting celebrations will certainly cause you to proclaim that "These are the moments .... these are the times"! A Powder Puff victory, being the first dismissed from assemblies, an Activity Period courtyard you can claim as your own, Senior portraits, a parking space in the front lot, team captaincies, club presidencies, Kairos, a final Cotillion, a Jammy Jam, a Prom and a Mardi Gras PostProm are all moments to be treasured. Senior year is rich with soulful late night talks, 1M's that make you laugh, text messages that brighten your day and IPOD tunes that underscore your adventures. Most grown-ups will confess that Senior year memories remain among the best of times in their journal of life. However, in the theme "These are the moments .... these are the times" lies a wisdom that far surpasses the joys of Senior year. Each moment of life holds a lesson, an experience, an insight and a direction not to be missed. Some moments thrill us with drama and adventure. Others sooth us with a quiet peace. There are great "Aha!" moments that burst open our minds and hearts. There are tearful moments that empty us and allow us to be filled up by the compassionate care of others. There are moments of pain that make us acutely aware of all that we hope for and dream of. There are quiet moments that prepare us for all that is to come. There are moments so full of God's wonder that we can do nothing but stand in awe.
Mary Liz Ivins Principal
May your Senior year be filled with memories of moments well lived. May you learn to treasure every moment as a gift to be savored and plundered for meaning. From this moment on, may you welcome each new day proclaiming faithfully that "These are the moments .... these are the times". With love, Ms. Mary Liz Ivins Principal

Dear Members of the Class of 2006, These are the times to make the most of the moments as you graduate and continue your journey. As you move into unknown and unimagined territory, my hope is that Notre Dame has provided the light of a torch, in a figurative sense, that you will need to travel safely down the paths ofyour future. I pass along to you the Torch of Hope. Hope is at the core of your drive for success and your ability to persist in the face of adversity. The Torch of Imagination. Never stop dreaming, this allows you to contemplate what could be, not just what is. Your imagination will move you beyond today's reality and is the first step toward creating the life you want to live. The Torch of Respect. Continue to respect yourself and others, and you will be more likely to make responsible choices and to see those around you as positive resources. The Torch of Connectedness. Never forget the moments and times spent as a member of the Notre Dame High School Community. When you feel connected to Notre Dame and the larger society, you will understand your role as stewards of the earth and protectors of the dignity of life. I will not travel your full journey with you, but my prayer for you is may Jesus, your Companion on your journey, continue to bless you and, through you, touch others.
Joan Pilkington
Lovingly, Ms. Joan Pilkington Assistant Principal
Vice Principal of Student Life To The Class of 2006, Your four years at Notre Dame created a tremendous picture made up of moments. These moments will stay with you forever. You will recall them privately and place a value on them and how they shaped your personality. A single line from one of Fr. Dennis's sermons, a reprimand from a teacher, the "A" that you were sure was a "C", that kick to goal that you didn't know you had in you: you will relive each of these and so many more. However, there is so much more to this picture; it is made up of the times. You went through high school in a post9/11 world where security issues imposed themselves more on everyday living; great technological advances leaped in front of you every year (remember, only a few of you had iPods in your freshmen year!); America was at war during these years; you watched while a tsunami (a word that only appeared in textbooks previously) and record breaking hurricanes left us untouched but destroyed thousands of good people. You will reflect on these, too. You will carry the effect of these moments and these times always. It is our hope that the Notre Dame experience - religious, academic, athletic and social - worked to complement all of them. Our goal was to create a better you. Did we succeed? Based on the achievements of this class, I would say the answer has to be yes! May God bless all of you., Mr. Salvatore Sciarrotta Assistant Principal

HOMECOMING weekend The last week of September was Notre Dame's Homecoming. It started with a spirit filled pep rally on Thursday during activity period. The homecoming court included Jessica Clough, Matthew O'Reilly, AriannaJanni, Connor Lewis, Marc Lordi, Juliann Bertone, Bob Hogan, Christina Falcone andJ.C. Curcio. The bonfire was later that night; it was the largest fire NO's ever seen! Friday night the football team played an excellent and emotionally charged game against Steinert beating them 21 to 7. At halftime the homecoming king, Bobby Hogan and queen, Julie Bertone were announced. Notre Dame has never had a more exciting Homecoming Weekend! Saturday was the dance and everyone was dressed to the nines and looked amazing. Homecoming weekend was topped off on Sunday with the annual Wrobo-Run. This was Notre Dame's best Homecoming thus far.

Senior theme day is a yearly Halloween tradition here at Notre Dame. A majority of the students participated, wearing costumes ranging from jackson himself to the jackson 5. Friends got together to form groups such as Monty Python arid the Holy Grail, Peter Pan, Rainbow Brite and the Fanta Girls just to name a few. Although there were so many creative costumes, the judges were able to narrow it down to a fabulous five.
