Wh~n asked about Mr. O'Byrne, Notre Dame students will

inevitably, for better or worse, recall their experience in his Physics class . . While his Physics: classes are considered by many .'to be among the most ~ifficult at Notre Dame, Mr. O'Byrne is one of the most talented teachers that Notre Dame has ever seen. Not only does . he immerse himself and. his students in the curriculum, ' but Mr. O'Byrne also goes , beyond what is required to make h_i·mself available to his students outside of the ·classroom. As students recall their experience in Mr. O'Byrne's class, a universal appreciation of his energy is apparent. Only in K202 could one encounter students rolling bowling balls wi~h broomsticks, and have the teacher l.ogically corroborate the academic merit of the activity. Other adjectives that come to mind when speaking ot Mr. O'Byrne include: intelligent, _ integrative, .cooperative, entertaining, artistic, easy-going, and . .. friendly . . I
