The project proposes the rehabilitation of a historical building, as well as the construction of an annex. The original building, located in Belo Horizonte, was designed by architect Signorelli in 1929. Known by the neighbors as “A Casa Rosa” (The Pink House), it remained abandoned for many years, and the new project aims to revitalize the space and add a new structure.
The rooms of the original house have been transformed into a café and administrative spaces, interconnected with the later addition. The new building, now housing the Casa Rosada Residências, respects the historic building, maintaining a dialogue with its essence and concept, while also contrasting with it, standing out as an expression of its own time.
The design of the annex was conceived as a Contemporary Theater, with the stage positioned in such a way that the lateral façade of the original house is visible in every performance. This concept inspired the name “Looking Beyond Art.”

The Multimodal Complex project is located in the city of Contagem, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, and aims to serve as an integration point between bus lines, a future underground metro, as well as bicycles and private transportation vehicle. The surroundings of the project are predominantly residential, and a significant need for a transportation hub was identified.
To minimize the visual impact of this large intervention, the roof was inspired by the surrounding mountainous landscape and the small residential buildings in the area.
To mitigate social and environmental impacts, the design incorporates several strategies, such as the creation of squares, green areas, and the diversification of space usage. The structure utilizes metal modular construction, takes advantage of natural ventilation through the roof, and allows for rainwater harvesting. Furthermore, the building is designed to allow for future expansion, if necessary, to accommodate covered events, for example.
The location of the project was determined based on studies of municipal and state plans, as well as field research.

The Crixá School Project is the result of a National Competition held by COHAB in partnership with an office in Belo Horizonte. The climatic conditions, characterized by hot and dry seasons, as well as the principles of order and hierarchy, were key factors in the creation of the visual concept for this project.
The layout was carefully planned to avoid openings facing east and west, directions with higher solar incidence. Windows were positioned on the north and south facades, minimizing the impact of high temperatures, especially in the classrooms, while improving natural ventilation and lighting.
The chosen construction technique, reinforced concrete, draws on the modernity concepts seen in the city of Brasília, while also utilizing locally accessible resources and labor.

This urban proposal aims to create a network of interconnected public spaces in the city of Belo Horizonte, covering three distinct neighborhoods in the central area of the city. The concept “Unity in the diversity of fragments” reflects the multiplicity of characteristics, opportunities, and users present in these regions. The project seeks to integrate these differences, prioritizing the mobility of pedestrians and cyclists, while also softening the areas with higher public transportation flow. From an environmental perspective, the proposal focuses on restoring the connections between people and nature, with an emphasis on the revitalization of the Arrudas River, transforming it into a leisure space and creating green areas around it.
DETAIL
localization: cliff in a fictional location software used: AutoCAD e SketchUp 2017
This conceptual project was developed with the goal of creating a retreat residence for the football player Pelé, located on a fictional cliff in the United States. The building’s volume was inspired by the famous “Bicycle Kick” associated with the player, resulting in the concept “The King’s Movement.” The program was designed for a single-family residence, focused on retreat and contemplation, providing a space that distances itself from daily activities and offers new possibilities for living.
The project’s structure was conceived in concrete, with a metal base that connects the building to the “ground,” creating a fluid and harmonious relationship with the surrounding landscape. The choice of materials and the volumetric arrangement aim not only for functionality but also for aesthetics and symbolism, linking Pelé to the movement and grandeur of his career.
