Grounded in the seemingly magical process of transforming elements into something new, Alchemy is a magnificent collection of awe-inspiring textiles. Influenced by nature and our ever-diverse and changing environment, the Brentano Design Studio meticulously curated the Alchemy Collection’s thirteen versatile fabrics to be both physically and texturally stunning. By refining and emphasizing the beauty that lies within the details, the Fall 2021 collection accentuates organic patterns using mixed yarns, space-dyed yarns, and bouclés to create natural and alluring designs. Highlighting color trends within the design industry, the Alchemy collection features warmer tones like Sundial and Antelope Canyon throughout its many patterns and colorways designed to scheme with one another playfully. Further enhancing Brentano’s line of distinct textiles, Alchemy introduces versatile textures, flowing patterns, and dimensional fabrics that delight the eye. This thoughtfully crafted range of textiles offers a depth of interest and movement within a room providing the groundwork for striking hospitality, contract, and residential interiors. With a background in printmaking, Founder and Artistic Director Iris Wang has expanded her continuously evolving line of interior offerings by leaning on her Graduate Studies in Art. Featuring 4 stunning and multi-faceted selections, pulling inspiration from well-loved textile patterns, Brentano brings thoughtful design to the world of wallcovering. The perfect marriage of beauty and balance, the collection highlights bold, striking patterns and minimal, serene designs with organic pattern work. “The importance is in the balance. It’s not only beautiful but also useable” says Founder Iris Wang, “Wallcovering is the lead when creating an atmosphere. Textiles and furniture are then added in to augment the design. For me, it’s exhilarating that we have created something that stands alone but also seamlessly pairs with our textile line to create interior spaces that tell a story and evoke emotion”.

It’s a permanent stain finish similar in technology to other aggressive treatments on the market such as Nano-Tex or Alta. It offers equal/comparable protection against stains as Nano-tex/Alta/Crypton as well.

The Brentano Design Studio, led by Iris Wang, has grown from a modest eight patterns in 1990, into an international source for residential, hospitality and commercial fabrics for both upholstery and drapery. The range has expanded to include luxurious vegan leathers, sophisticated indoor/outdoor choices, dynamic stain resistant and easy clean finish options, as well as a beautiful collection of eco-friendly textiles. New to Brentano’s line, the Design Studio has released it’s first ever collection of sophisticated and versatile wallcoverings!
