Illustrated talk with film historian Will Bird who looks beyond the movies that defined a genre of cinema to celebrate the overlooked and entertaining dramas, comedies and romances that provide a tantalising glimpse of the genius Alfred Hitchcock would become.
The story of the fateful voyage of the Titanic, the worst maritime disaster in the history of the port of Southampton, told from the viewpoint of the crew and the families affected by the tragedy. This event is in memory of the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and the loss of so many lives.
Magical Creatures! Friday 8 April, 10 – 11.30am Enter a world of magic in this cartooning workshop, and learn comic art tips for drawing mythical and marvellous creatures from beyond the limits of the imagination! Dragons, 9-tailed foxes, giant beasties, and more! Ages 7 – 11.

Wembley Library EXHIBITION Conscious of the Female Perspective 4 March – 2 June, Civic Centre Exploring what it means to be female through the experiences travelled by women of Brent. Devised by community partners and volunteers, a series of workshops gave women a chance to come together, share knowledge and experiences and explore femininity. The exhibition presents the artistic outcomes of these sessions. We Fainted Alternately on the Sofa – Jane Austen in the Making Tuesday 26 April, 6.30 – 7.30pm As a teenager, Jane Austen wrote short plays, stories and novels filled with extravagant farce that were not intended

EXHIBITION The Exhibition Space Second Floor Reflections on the Past, Present and Future. Revival, London 1989-1993 14 March – 29 May Revival presents recently rediscovered photographs taken by Roy Mehta in Harlesden and Willesden from 1989-1993. These images have never been on display in public. Documenting the local community, this is an exhibition about their history and of a moment in the history of Brent - exploring a rich diversity of culture and heritage. The archive includes portraits of individuals, groups, landscapes and interiors, which will become a permanent part of Brent Museum and Archives collections. Exhibition curated by Laura Noble. As part of the Revival exhibition, look out for a series of exciting events and talks in the Spring.

Wembley Library and Civic Centre Women in Sport
– Celebrating the Women’s Euros 2022 In July 2022 Wembley will host the final of the UEFA Women’s Euros. Explore the history of women in the beautiful game and hear from Brent’s local legends. The London Borough of Brent joins UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 summer of celebration in partnership with The FA. Look out for an oral history project capturing stories of women in football, an exhibition with items from Brent Museum and Archive’s collection sharing stories of women and girls’ memories and experiences of football in the borough. There will also be an exciting summer of events and activities celebrating women’s football heritage.
