New Chamber Website! If you haven’t visited the Chamber lately at www.brentwoodchamber.com, don’t delay and visit today! Our new website, designed by Chris Hopkins of Virtual Planet, is up and running. The new website is designed to integrate seamlessly with our new membership software, ChamberMaster, which is web-based and is the software used by most Chambers in the U.S. ChamberMaster allows members to log in with their own username and password and register for events, pay their membership online, post “Hot Deals”, “Member to Member Deals, job postings and news releases. Potential members may also join the Chamber online and pay their dues for instant membership activation. Members are also able to enhance their web listing by adding keywords, directions to their place of business and hours of operation. Our directory is searchable by category, keywords and alphabetically. When clicking on a member, an individual page comes up with a link to the members’ own website. Look for more details to come. We will be emailing members their username and login info to get started soon.

John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Brentwood’s location on Balfour Road makes it easy for families to coordinate their primary care needs locally and receive the high- quality care they expect from John Muir Health. Offering programs and services ranging from primary and pediatric care, to imaging, rehabilitation, and behavioral health, we are able to meet the needs of most patients, all under one roof. Recently added to the Brentwood campus is family practice physician, Dr. Adric Huynh. New services include: a Pediatric Diabetes Educator provided through the John Muir Health Women’s Health Center and parenting classes provided through our Behavioral Health Center. These services join many others available for patients at the Brentwood Outpatient Center, including general X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, dexascan for osteoporosis testing, and nuclear medicine; lab testing; cardiac diagnostics, including stress testing, echocardiograms and treadmill testing; cardiac rehabilitation; and other physical rehabilitation services (physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy). Urgent care services for non-emergency care are also available including evening, weekend and holiday hours. We also offer specialized surgical procedures on an outpatient basis in the Brentwood Surgery Center. With the latest medical advances and technology, more procedures are being done that do not require an inpatient hospital stay. Should a hospital stay be required, John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek and John Muir Medical Center, Concord were ranked the top hospitals in the East Bay by U.S. News and World Report. Both hospitals recently completed new expansions to provide facilities that match the excellent care provided at both hospitals. The new patient care towers feature private rooms and combine the latest in technology with an emphasis on a welcoming environment that reduces anxiety and enhances healing. The new addition to John Muir Medical Center, Concord features a larger, relocated Emergency Room and houses John Muir Health’s award winning cardiovascular services. At John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek, the new addition doubled the size of the campus. Major areas of expansion include the Emergency Room; Trauma Services; Imaging; Surgery; Critical Care; Birth Center; Pediatrics; Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. A new rooftop helipad allows the County’s only Level II trauma center to accept air ambulance traffic, sometimes flown in from our very own Brentwood helipad. The Brentwood Outpatient Center and all of John Muir Health are built on the principles of highquality care and convenience with a personal touch. We listen, we explain and we work together as a team to deliver the care you expect and deserve. I would like to invite you to meet our team and experience our broad range of services and dedication to patient-centered care. Our system of government has served as a model for democracies around the world. Even so, only about half of those eligible in the United States regularly use their most powerful tool: the right to vote. Translation? Only about half of us decide who will represent all of us. Many fail to understand how critical each vote can be. Consider this: in the 2000 elections, fewer than 10,000 votes determined control of the entire U.S. government. That’s only about 2 votes per elected state or federal official! Because the cornerstone of our system is a government of the people, increased voter participation can and will improve how that system performs for each of us. Our industry has much at stake in this election. On Nov. 6, 2012, voters will elect thousands of state and local leaders, 435 Members of Congress, 33 Senators, 11 Governors and a new President. Each and every one of these elected officials has the ability to positively or negatively shape legislation affecting each of us, our company, and our communities. We encourage you to visit our website at www.CAprosperity.org for general information that will help you to prepare for the upcoming elections. These materials are designed to encourage voters, regardless of political affiliations, to exercise their civic duties to learn about political issues and to vote their conscience on Election Day.
