A longtime Brentwood farmer and developer is among a group that has planted an idea to expand the city’s urban limit line to accommodate a large senior housing project that includes commercial elements. But another local faction has already launched plans to dry up the idea. Antioch’s first cannabis dispensary is now one step closer to opening its doors. The Antioch Planning Commission recently approved a use permit for the One Plant Cannabis Dispensary in the former Goodwill building at 2701 W. 10th St. The business, whose use permit must still be approved by the full city council, is slated to sell retail cannabis, vape pens, vape pen batteries and chargers, which are used to administer cannabis concentrates.
