I gruppi leviganti lucidanti In lega di alluminio, studiati per contenere il peso ed aumentare la rigidità. Il sistema di salita/discesa è equilibrato in quanto è realizzato con una coppia di pistoni con steli interni protetti. Le teste si sollevano e si abbassano in frazioni di secondo, con sollevamento sempre minimo rispetto la superficie della lastra, assicurando la perfetta lucidatura anche dei bordi delle lastre ad elevata velocità di lavoro. In corrispondenza di ogni singola testa si trova il regolatore della pressione di lavoro, visualizzata su indicatore analogico. Ogni mandrino è dotato di un carter di protezione frontale in materiale plastico facilmente smontabile in modo tale che le operazioni di manutenzione sul corpo mandrino sono del tutto agevoli.
Honing-polishing units Made of aluminium alloy, designed to be lightweight with increased stiffness. The raising-lowering system is perfectly balanced through a pair of pistons with protected internal rods. The heads rise and fall in a fraction of a second, maintaining optimal contact with the slab surface, so slab edges are perfectly polished and operating speed is maximized. Every head has a pressure regulator that displays the operating pressure on an analogue display. Each spindle is fitted with a protective front plastic housing that can easily be removed, making servicing the spindle body a simple task.

Beam The arc-welded steel beam has a special box-type section design to reduce weight and increase stiffness. The honing units are fixed to it and help increasing its flexural strength. The spindle/beam assembly is thus extremely stiff and dynamic for fast acceleration/deceleration ramps.

La motorizzazione della trave
Beam Drive
La trasmissione del moto della trave avviene a mezzo di due sistemi pignone/cremagliera, azionati da due motoriduttori fissati alle estremità della stessa e sincronizzati meccanicamente. I motoriduttori sono azionati da due motori Brushless, comandati da speciali azionamenti, che consentono un moto sinusoidale della trave, nonché di mantenere costante il numero di battute della trave anche al variare della larghezza delle lastre, il tutto per garantire una migliore qualità ed uniformità di lucidatura su tutta la superficie della lastra, bordi compresi. Il sistema, affidabilissimo e sperimentato, assicura un’alta dinamica di movimento senza stressare gli organi meccanici. La velocità di lavoro della trave arriva a 70 m/min. Nelle fasi di rallentamento della traslazione della trave, grazie all’impiego di “azionamenti a recupero di energia”, si genera un riversamento in rete dell’energia elettrica generata dalla frenata, con conseguente risparmio energetico.
The beam is actuated by two rack and pinion systems driven by two gearmotors, which are fixed at each end of the beam and are mechanically synchronized. The gearmotors are driven by two brushless motors controlled by special drives, which, besides enabling a sine-like beam movement, make it possible to keep the number of beam strokes constant even when slab width changes; this ensures better polishing quality and uniformity over the whole surface of the slab, edges included. This system is extremely reliable and time-tested, guaranteeing highly dynamic movements without putting stress on the mechanical components. The beam’s working speed reaches 70 m/min. Furthermore, when beam traversing slows, “energy recovery” drives transfer the energy generated by braking back to the grid, with consequent energy savings.

The load-bearing structure The load-bearing structure is made of arc-welded steel anchored to the foundations without any deformable connecting elements. The bed on which the conveyor belt rides is a thick, milled monobloc to guarantee perfect planarity. The bed sub-structure is designed to prevent process water pooling, which could damage the frame. The conveyor belt is driven by a Brushless motor for the best speed control.

Le cremagliere di trasmissione del moto sono a denti inclinati per assicurare un ingranamento dei pignoni senza alcun lasco. Gli scorrimenti sono protetti da carter a labirinto in acciaio inox.
Beam sliding bridges The beam ends are welded to two shoulders sliding on sturdy, cast-iron bridges, which house hardened, ground, oversized roller-races with large diameter roller bearings running in an oil bath, and an antimigration micro pinion. The transmission racks have angle cut teeth to guarantee precise pinion meshing. The sliding components are protected by stainless steel labyrinth housings.

La rilevazione del profilo e dello spessore delle lastre Un lettore a barriera fotoelettrica rileva la forma delle lastre, con risoluzione di 10x10 mm, mentre un sensore sonar ne rileva lo spessore. Il sistema consente di processare anche lastre con superficie lucida (come lastre già lucidate o resinate). Il sistema comanda l’intervento automatico delle teste, l’autoadeguamento della corsa della trave alla larghezza delle lastre, e il posizionamento automatico delle barriere antispruzzo/fonoassorbenti frontali ai mandrini, in funzione dello spessore delle lastre.
Slab profile and thickness detection A photoelectric barrier reader detects the slab profile with 10x10 mm resolution while a sonar reader senses its thickness. This system allows to process even slabs with a polished surface (such as already polished or resin-treated slabs). The system controlling the automatic head lifting- lowering, ensures the selfadjustment of the beam travel to the slab width and guarantees that the spindle front, anti-splash and sound-deadening barriers are positioned automatically to match the slab thickness.

Water system
L’adduzione idrica alle teste avviene tramite una tubazione comune di grosso diametro in PVC, rigidamente fissata posteriormente ai mandrini e collegata ai mandrini stessi a mezzo di tubi flessibili in gomma. Un ingegnoso sistema devia l’acqua all’esterno del corpo mandrino in caso di sovralimentazione o di otturazione dei condotti per evitare così che l’acqua in eccesso possa andare a contatto con gli organi interni del corpo mandrino.
Water is supplied to the heads by a common, largediameter PVC pipe that is securely fixed behind the spindles and connected to the spindle units by flexible, rubber hoses. A revolutionary system diverts water outside the spindle casing in the event of overflowing or clogging of the ducts, thus preventing excess water from coming into contact with the internal components of the spindle.

La lubrificazione automatica centralizzata (accessorio) Un sistema centralizzato composto essenzialmente da un serbatoio per il grasso, una pompa con doppio sistema di filtraggio micrometrico, distributori progressivi e tubazioni per alta pressione provvede alla lubrificazione automatica dei mandrini e dei punti rilevanti delle parti in movimento della macchina. Sensori di pressione segnalano anomalie al sistema per una facile individuazione di eventuali intasamenti nel circuito.
Automatic centralized lubrication system (optional) A centralized system, mainly consisting of a grease reservoir, a pump with double micrometer filtration system, sequential distributors and pipes for high-pressure, guarantees the automatic lubrication of either the spindle units or the other moving parts of the machine. The system is warned about possible malfunctions by pressure sensors that easily pinpoint where the circuit is clogged.

La motorizzazione brushless della trave e del nastro

Il sistema gantry sincronizzato meccanicamente che muove la trave, ne assicura la traslazione sempre perfettamente ortogonale prevenendo qualsiasi intraversamento in caso di anomalie al sistema. I due motori brushless, del tipo sincrono a controllo digitale, consentono di avere una coppia costante sia nelle fasi di traslazione a velocità massima, sia in quelle, più importanti, a velocità ridotta nelle fasi di inversione del moto a bordo lastra. Con i motori brushless, a differenza dei sistemi che ancora oggi usano i motori asincroni con inverter, le rampe di decelerazione/accelerazione vengono perfettamente controllate, rendendo Luxmaster KFT la lucidatrice con miglior potenziale per garantire l’uniformità del lucido sulla superficie lastra. Un altro vantaggio di questo moderno sistema, è che esso permette il recupero dell’energia sprigionata nelle fasi di frenata, riversandola in rete. Quindi oltre ad essere più prestazionale, è anche molto efficiente. Anche la motorizzazione del nastro trasportatore è con motore brushless, per assicurare una coppia costante indipendentemente dalla velocità di avanzamento e dal peso delle lastre in lavoro, cosa non raggiungibili con i motori asincroni con inverter.
The mechanically synchronized gantry system responsible for moving the beam ensures that it always traverses in a perfectly orthogonal direction, preventing any sideways displacement in the event of system faults. The two digitally-controlled brushless synchronous motors provide constant torque, both during maximum speed traverse and, more importantly, during reduced speed traverse at the time of reversal of the direction of movement on the slab. Unlike systems that still today use inverter driven asynchronous motors, with brushless motors the deceleration/acceleration ramps are controlled perfectly, making the Luxmaster KFT the polishing machine with the best potential to guarantee a perfectly uniform polished slab surface. Another benefit of this modern system is that it makes it possible to recover the kinetic energy released during braking and return it to the power feeding network. Therefore, apart from delivering better performance, the machine is also more efficient. Also the conveyor belt is driven by a brushless motor to guarantee constant torque regardless of the feed speed and the weight of the slabs being processed, a condition that cannot be achieved with the use of inverter driven asynchronous motors.

Automatic control of abrasives wear This system is designed to continuously monitor the abrasive wear of each single head through video advice notes and warning signals before tools are completely worn out. It also guarantees minimal lifting of the heads on slab infeed/ outfeed, and subsequent rapid head descent, thus ensuring better polishing of the edges and a higher operating speed.
La pulizia delle lastre Una barriera in gomma in uscita provvede a rimuovere l’acqua dalla superficie delle lastre. Un mandrino solidale alla trave a comando pneumatico, dotato di spazzola (opzionale ) provvede alla pulizia delle lastre dopo la lucidatura intervenendo automaticamente al passaggio di ogni lastra.
Slab cleaning A rubber wiper fixed at the machine outlet removes water from the slab surface. A pneumatically controlled spindle, integral with the beam and holding an optional brush, cleans the slabs once they are polished. The spindle is raised and lowered automatically each time a slab passes.

In posizione alta ergonomica e sicura, in corrispondenza di ogni singolo mandrino si trova il regolatore della pressione di lavoro, visualizzata su manometro analogico (a richiesta opzionali vengono forniti i selettori manuali di sollevamento/ abbassamento per ogni singola testa). I pannelli frontali scorrevoli di protezione antinfortunistica e fonoassorbenti sono realizzati con una struttura sandwich in ABS e poliuretano. Protezioni paraspruzzi fonoassorbenti con struttura sandwich in acciaio inox sono installate sulla trave davanti alle teste a “livello” della lastra, e hanno posizionamento verticale motorizzato automatico per adattarsi allo spessore delle lastre e sollevarsi per il cambio abrasivo.
A pressure regulator is installed on each single spindle in a high, ergonomic and safe position. Pressure is displayed on an analogue pressure gauge (on request, optional manual selectors for lifting/ lowering each single head can be supplied). The front, sliding accident-prevention and sounddeadening panels have a sandwich-like structure made of ABS and polyurethane. Sound-deadening splash guards with a stainless steel sandwich-type structure are installed on the beam, in front of the heads, “level” with the slab. Their vertical positioning is automatically controlled to match the slab thickness and they lift each time the abrasive bricks need replacing.

3Risparmio Energetico con la LUXMASTER
La Luxmaster è stata progettata anche per consumare meno energia. Due sono le funzioni macchina che generano un sensibile risparmio energetico: 1. La funzione “Energy Recovery” produce un riversamento in rete dell’energia elettrica generata dalla frenata nelle fasi di rallentamento della traslazione della trave, grazie all’impiego di speciali azionamenti, con conseguente risparmio energetico. 2. Energy Saving with the LUXMASTER The Luxmaster has been designed to save energy. Two machine functions save a considerable amount of energy: 1. Through special drives, the “Energy Recovery” function transfers electrical energy generated during braking when the beam slows down, to the electrical grid, saving energy as a consequence. 2. The “Stop & Go” function stops all the motors and utilities automatically once the machine no longer contains unpolished slabs and the belt conveyor has stopped moving. This minimizes energy consumption when the machine isn’t working. Once a new, unpolished slab has been fed into the machine and the conveyor belt has started, the software starts all the motors and utilities again automatically.
