Fabulousness 2010 Image: as exhibited in Handwise III, Podspace, Newcastle, NSW, Australia Fabulousness is constructed from an LED light source and Micro-Windows fibre optic cable. It has 'side-sparkle' fibres which are chipped along their length to create visual effect through the entire length of the cable. Fabulousness was conceived while reading Simon Doonan’s novel The Beautiful People. The exhibition Boys Who Sew: A Crafts Council Touring Exhibition premiered at the Crafts Council Gallery London, UK and toured for two years to numerous regional galleries in the UK

In 2005 this installation was selected by an international jury of high profile textile researchers: Helena Hietanen (Finland), Paul Jensen (Denmark), Katrin Pere (Estonia), and Silja Puranen (Finland); and included in the international survey exhibition Northern Fibre 6: (wo)man & technology Kerava Art Museum, Kerava, Finland
