The Greensboro Farmer’s Curb Market ushers in autumn with its annual Fall Fest!
This year’s even stretches across three Saturdays — Oct. 8, 15 and 22 from 8 am-noon — with live music, activities for kids, raffles and giveaways and, as always, lots of North Carolina farm products, foodstuffs and crafts.

Oct. 8 features music by Susan Riggs, a demonstration by local beekeepers and the Triad Eco Bus, which brings reptiles, invertebrates, strange plants and other winders of nature.

Oct. 15 has crafting with Reconsidered Goods, hula hooping, tastings and more.
. Oct. 22 the Fall Fest culminates with a performance by the Glenwood Choppers, brunch form the Spotted Pig food truck, holiday turkey pre-sales by FJ Family Farm and flower crowns from Reconsidered Goods.

utumn is here, and that means the fall menu has rolled out at Machete. Since you never really know what the weather is going to be like in North Carolina during this time of year, Machete is featuring a mix of light seafood and vegetable offerings, as well as a number of more hearty, comforting plates.
Some of the star dishes include bluefin tuna belly with lotus root, rabbit and spinach ravilolo with a velouté sauce, smoked mussels, beef tartare with hazelnuts, and stingray with sea veggies. To go along with the comfort focus as the weather starts to cool, Machete is also offering their take on some Southern favorites like shrimp and grits, yellow beans, fried pickles, and sweet potatoes.
