rewfest typically has signalled the beginning of summer here in Lander, but this year it will be a harbinger of summer’s end. We’ve been asked a few times if we intend this to be a permanent change, and while that has not been our intention, we’re open to hearing your opinion. What’s your take? June or August? We’d like to know! Great Beer. Great Food. Great Music. ~ August 13th & 14th Our 19th Brewfest will be held once again at Lander City Park, where we’ll be highlighting 24+ breweries and 80+ beers from the Rocky Mountain West. Our food vendors this year will be Riverton’s Bunk’s BBQ, and Gary’s Rojo o Verde, Thermopolis’s WY Smoke Burritos, and Lander’s Awaken Fitness & Wellness (co-owned by Siobhan Fahey of Lick Skillet Catering fame) and Lion’s Club. Friday’s live music will be provided by Riverton’s Lost Springs Band and Saturday -- just one day after the release of their debut album -- we’ll be hearing from Laramie’s Ten Cent Stranger, led by the front man of Bob Lefevre & the Already Gone. It’s going to be a great Brewfest! Get your tickets in advance at landerbrewfest.com! A Word of Gratitude to Our Brewfest Coordinator It’s a shame that he won’t be here to enjoy the fruits of his labor, as he’ll already be off to graduate school by the time Brewfest arrives, so I will publicly express (not for the first time) my deep gratitude to Mr. Taurey Carr for his suberb work as our Brewfest Coordinator for 2021. When he began, it was unsure whether the brewers would be willing to accommodate their calendars to accommodate our move from June to August, but his cheerful professionalism won the day. Thank you, Taurey, and best wishes for graduate school! Thank You, Brewfest Sponsors! Of course, without our sponsors, Brewfest wouldn’t be the great event is. Thank you, Fremont Toyota, Boyle Electric, Holiday Inn & Express, Bailey Tire & Auto/Pitstop Travel Centers/Priceless Care Rental, Home Source Realty, Lander Valley Farmers Market/ Speedgoat Market, Wyoming Waste Systems, Wyoming Craft Brewers Guild, Wind River Power Sports, and Scott Robeson Custom Woodworking & Fine Cabinetry!

Ron’s Flooring is a second generation flooring store, owned and operated by Ron Gonzales. Ron was only 13 when he went to work for his father’s store in Rawlins, where he learned the installation end of the industry. Transitioning from a full time installer to a store owner at age 54 raised a few eyebrows, but Ron explained, “I may not be far off from retirement, but I’m not ready, I still have a lot I want to accomplish.” He’s always enjoyed working with and
for people, and he hopes to continue for years to come. Ron’s goal is that the store will be here long after he’s gone. Ron’s Flooring carries carpet, tile, engineered woods, luxury vinyl, and more. Ron believes a successful installer needs to have the ability to install all kinds of flooring, and his installers can do just that. With his son Jess as his full time installer, along with an apprentice, they do all
they can to keep up with the heavy work load. Ron recently has expanded into furniture, working with Lane Furniture and Intermountain Furniture, to offer sofas, loveseats, and eventually other furnishings (but not appliances). Ron’s love of the outdoors is what brought him to Lander. His Wyoming roots keep him grounded. Visit 343 Main Street, ronsflooring.net, or call 335-5438.
