From the Executive Director
W
e have so much to be thankful for as we head into the new year. Our holiday season Think Lander First/Shop Local campaign was a huge
success! We had over 45 merchants participating and another 15 in the storefront competition. Congrats to all who took part in decorating their businesses and celebrating the holiday with zeal! Our retail and restaurant industry group will be circling the wagons in early January to plan for the spring season’s new initiatives to continue helping our local economy grow.

of May—just in time for the summer season of visitors. To date we have privately raised $142,000, plus the additional $34,000 from the Ambassadors Extravaganza which kicked off the “funrasing” last year! This, coupled with an array of other grants and donations, make this a true community effort! Finally, we invite you to submit nominations for our 2018 community awards ceremony, taking place on Friday, March 8, 12-1 p.m.
