Results of 2023 Membership Survey
Many thanks to our members who took our recent survey. A very large majority of respondents own or work for businesses that have been in business for ten years or more, and it is helpful for us to see what obstacles to growth so many of you share (hiring, talent, workforce, and the state of economy) as well as the areas on which you want us to focus (promoting business growth and promoting and sharing information among the business community). We’re also taking careful note of your comments regarding economic development (yes, you want us involved) and the ½cent economic development tax (yes, you want it re-adopted, but with clearer criteria regarding how the funds are awarded). Overall, we’re deeply honored by your strong support of our efforts and reinvigorated to continue and expand upon the good work we’ve been doing on your behalf. As I often say, the Chamber is not about us (the staff), the Chamber is about you -- our members! May 2024 be a blessed and banner year for us all!

NEW BOARD MEMBER!
Ryan Preston is father to three amazing adults and grandpa to three beautiful children. A Certified Hotel Administrator by the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Ryan has been the General Manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites Riverton since 2013. His energy and passion for people is nothing short of inspiring; Ryan has never met a ‘Stranger’. Ryan is community oriented, having served on many committees and boards including the Wind River Visitors Council (Fremont County lodging tax board), the Wyoming Hospitality & Travel Coalition, the Riverton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Riverton EDGE Committee. Ryan established himself in the hospitality industry at the age of 19 as the Asst. General Manager of the Inn America in Nampa, Idaho. He is a recipient of many awards and honors including Hilton’s CEO Light & Warmth of Hospitality (the company’s highest honor) and the Conrad Achievement Award (recognition as a Hilton best-in-class property).
