We continue to have great turnout at our Maximize Your Membership luncheons. During our April gathering, we had another 28 people pack the Chamber lobby to learn the howtos of making the most of their membership. For the second month in row, we were so grateful to have community support from Mr. D’s Food Center, who provided a delicious lunch! If you feel like you want more value out of your Chamber membership, these quick luncheons are a must-attend! As you may have heard, we are continuing to move forward with the design process of our Lander Visitor and Chamber Business Complex. Through this Wyoming Community Enhancement project, we were awarded $466,000 in grants

Finally – an FDA Approved Treatment For Tinnitus How Dr. Keith Darrow’s Team Saved Me From The Constant Ringing, Buzzing, and Irritation.
Now YOU Can Try This Risk-Free Tinnitus Solution By Requesting Your Risk-Free Consultation. Here is some straight talk about Tinnitus, Your Ears, and the Brain. At Last, You will know about this pesky problem. Tinnitus is defined as a sensation of sound in your ears, sometimes in your head. Each person with Tinnitus has a different sound experience; for many it is described as a ‘ringing,’ ‘buzzing,’ or ‘clicking.’ Tinnitus is experienced by almost 80% of people with hearing loss. Some people only notice their Tinnitus in a quiet room, whereas many others experience the sound all day long - and it can interfere with daily life.
Don’t Let Tinnitus Control You; Request Your Free Consultation Today! In some people the sound can cause depression, anxiety or interferes with concentration. Tinnitus is often the result of a ‘Central Gain’ in neural activity that occurs in the brain when there is a loss of proper neural stimulation from the ear. More simply - because the brain is not properly stimulated in individuals with hearing loss (even a mild hearing loss), the brain will increase activity to make up for the missing stimulation.
Try FDA Approved Tinnitus Treatment Options Risk-Free! There is no pill, no surgery, no other available option approved to treat Tinnitus. Newly available neurotechnology is for people with hearing loss and with normal hearing. Studies show that patients who use these tinnitus support devices report a significant reduction in their daily Tinnitus experience - some even say the ‘ringing is gone during the day’.

Thank You Nursing Assistants! In honor of National Nursing Assistant Week June 15-22 we would like to give a huge Thank You to all Nursing Assistants. These special individuals provide hands-on healthcare to patients by helping with basic daily tasks such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting around. Thank you for all your hard work and all you do to help patients feel comfortable and cared for. You are valued and appreciated! Thank You!! This week take a moment to thank a CNA for all they do.
The staff at Help for Health would like to honor all those who are living with cancer, those who are Cancer Survivors, their Family and Friends, and Health Care Providers who support survivors in their fight for life. National Cancer Survivors Day on June 4th is a Celebration for those who have survived, an Inspiration for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of Support for families, and an Outreach to the community. On National Cancer Survivors Day, thousands gather across the globe to honor cancer survivors and to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be fruitful, rewarding, and even inspiring (written by www.ncsd.org). If you are currently in cancer treatment we have our Tough Enough to Help Cancer Fund to assist with household and/or travel expenses. For more information you can go to www.helpforhealthhospice.org/. You can find more information about National Cancer Survivors Day at ww.ncsd.org/.
Help for Health is Unique! We are the only non-profit hospice in Fremont County. Our management and operations are all local. Donations and fundraising contributions collected go directly back into serving Fremont County. We have clinical staff in both Riverton and Lander. We serve individuals in their homes and in skilled nursing facilities throughout ALL of Fremont County. We are most proud of our patient-focused care. Most large or corporate hospices average a nurse to patient ratio of 1:14, Help for Health is proud to have an average nurse to patient ratio of 1:6. We give patients and families whatever time is needed and are NOT driven by how many visits the clinical team can do in a day. We have a beautiful and ‘warm’ Hospice Home residential facility. Some patients utilize the facility for a 5 day respite stay while their caregiver can rest (Medicare and Medicaid will cover respite services once monthly). Others go to our Hospice Home for short periods of time to get uncontrolled symptoms managed. Many of our patients reside in the facility when they are unable to live at home. We value our Nurses and CNAs to be nationally certified in hospice and palliative care (CHPN(A) certification). We provide modern wound care, advanced pain and symptom management and our employees are required to complete 12 hours of end-of-life education per year. We have 100% approval rating when patient’s family asked in survey “Would you recommend this hospice to others?” We have started a new program called 4 Horses Home Services that provides temporary or long-term non-medical assistance in your own home by our bonded and insured Personal Aides.
Help for Health Hospice Statistics in 2016 We employ 35 employees – 18 full-time, 4 part-time and 13 PRN Primary diagnosis of patients served were Chronic Heart Failure, Lung Cancer, COPD We have a 100% rating for treating family members with dignity and respect, 93% with getting as much help with pain as needed and lastly 97% emotional support from the hospice team.
