Did you know that the state of Wyoming provides grants to train your employees, employees-to-be, and interns? Did you know also that preferred industries are eligible to receive larger grant amounts?
Four Types of Grants to Fit Your Needs
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Workforce Development Training Fund is a unique Wyomingbased program connecting employers with professional development opportunities to increase employee skill attainment. Grant options include:
• Business Training Grants to teach new skills or retrain current employees. Up to $4,000 per trainee per state fiscal year, up to $5,000 for preferred industries which includes Construction, Finance and Insurance, Healthcare and Social Assistance, Manufacturing, Technology, and Hospitality and Tourism.. A business can apply for up to $200,000 per state fiscal year.
• Pre-Hire Grants to obtain trained workers for a new or expanding business. Also provides training funds to replace lost workers. Recent changes make emergency medical service providers eligible to participate.
• Internship Grants for structured learning experiences to enhance knowledge and skills. Limits have been increased up to $25/hr. Businesses can host up to 6 internships per state fiscal year, based on demonstrated need, and the ability to offer quality work experience for each intern.
• Apprenticeship Grants for the development of a Wyoming-based Registered Apprenticeship Program where there is a shortage of skilled employees. Available to registered programs and their related technical instruction providers to assist with the cost of the related instruction of the registered apprenticeship program.
Workforce Development Training Fund staff members regularly host Q&A sessions to help businesses navigate the grant process.

Sinks Canyon is a rugged canyon at the base of the southern Wind River Mountains in Wyoming. Located on the eastern slope of the mountains, the canyon is named for a unique geologic formation, “The Sinks,” where the river vanishes underground near the mouth of the canyon.
The canyon proper begins at the falls, where the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River flows over a granite escarpment in a series of cascades. The river follows the widening canyon down into the Lander Valley. This valley is a part of the larger Wind River Basin.
The Popo Agie joins the Wind River in the basin. The Wind flows into the Yellowstone, which drains into the Missouri and ultimately the Mississippi then the Gulf. The river begins in snow fields and alpine lakes near the Continental Divide.
The Park’s programs are designed to further their mission and provide much needed services. Park events and fundraisers help raise awareness and generate crucial resources to serve the community. Volunteer! Improve your community by joining our cause. You’d be surprised at what a huge difference a little bit of your time can make.
