local movement to revitalize the economy. Looking ahead, the economic outlook of the energy sector will remain uncertain into the foreseeable future. If you are like most citizens, you likely feel a little tense, and with good reason. However, there remains one element of control within our economy— how you and other residents affect local spending. We do this by reinjecting our hard-earned money in the same community that gives us so much. Hands down—shopping local is the best way you

can support the Lander-area! Not only do dollars spent locally cycle seven or more times through our economy (e.g. professional services, charitable and nonprofit organizations, etc.), but these dollars also feed our local governments through sales tax collection. If you want strong schools, medical facilities, roads and pathways, police and other emergency services, then spend your money in the Lander area!
