introduction
From the Executive Director
F
all has arrived, and with it comes a little extra time compared to the hustle-n-bustle of summer! First thing you will notice is that we have finally begun
construction on our new 3,400 sqft Lander Visitor and Chamber Business Complex. This flagship building will help drive visiting tourists into our member businesses and increase spending in the Lander area. The caboose was temporarily moved to the golf course during construction. So far we are on our timeline and expecting to move in just in time for next summer tourism season. This year to support our local merchants we will continue the Think Lander First: Shop Local program. Just like last year, Shop Local buttons will allow customers to get excellent deals and discounts at participating Lander businesses to encourage residents to keep their hard earned dollars local this holiday season.

Also, a reminder to get an ad into our Travel and Relocation Guide, which we distribute to 4,000 travelers and those looking to relocate. 2018 might be months away, but we are already gearing up for another action-packed year of supporting our economy. Finally, if you can’t name five chamber benefits off the top of your head, then you have to attend the October 25 Maximize Your Membership Luncheon. Mr. D’s Food Center will be serving lunch, and by the end of this 50 minute presentation, you will know all the steps to making the most of your chamber membership. RSVP to 332-3892 or info@ landerchamber.org as space usually fills up fast!

Flower Barrel Contest Results
Each Spring, in partnership with Sprouts Greenhouse, over 50 businesses participate in the Flower Barrel Program. Adding a touch of color is the perfect way to brighten your storefront appearance with seasonal flowers! This year we ran a contest to see which business could have the best looking Flower Barrel, and on September 15, we went around looking for the best. Congratulations to Central Bank and Trust for sprucing their storefront with a magnificent spread of bountiful flowers. They were the proud recipients of $200 in Lander Bucks.
