Damp-proofing Rising damp is a common problem, either because no damp proof course (DPC) has been installed, or because a physical membrane has failed or been 'bridged'. In the majority of cases the provision of a remedial DPC is a cost effective solution with minimal disturbance. The range of damp proofing systems offered by Wykamol is unique within the field of property restoration. Our products are incredibly diverse and innovative.
At the cutting edge of product development in this field comes Ultracure™ - a new diffusion cream system for all types of walls. All our chemical DPC systems are suitable for use in accordance with BS 6576 and are manufactured under our ISO 9001:2008 QA scheme.
Ultracure Ultracure™ is a unique silicone emulsion cream for injection into brickwork etc. for the control of rising dampness. Ultracure™ can be used in all types of masonry without the use of high pressure equipment. The cream is delivered by hand pressure only from a simple displacement pump and injector lance into a series of holes drilled into the mortar course. From here it migrates rapidly into the masonry pores where the injection cream reverts to a liquid phase and polysiloxanes are formed in situ.
During the curing period a low molecular-weight silane vapour is also produced giving excellent migration through the wall. Curing of the DPC starts immediately with the final cure taking 2 - 6 weeks depending on wall thickness. Extensive field experience with this technology demonstrates that Ultracure™ will perform as well as any conventional liquid injection system against rising damp.

DPC Chemicals Wykamol offers the most comprehensive rage of chemicals to cure rising damp many, with BBA accreditations. The range includes water based chemicals Siliconate K and Microtech Pressure Injection Fluid , through to our Injection Mortar system (the only such mortar with a BBA accreditation).
This range of injectable damp proofing systems are backed up by our injection equipment which can be found in the spares and equipment section (see page 76). Overall our DPC systems offer the contractor a one stop shop for damproofing.

Waterproofers & Additives Integral Liquid Waterproofers are designed for use in render coats following the insertion of a damp proof course.
