Now days I practice 2- 3 x a week depends on what’s going on if I have a few gigs then I practice the set list for the gig since I’ve been working a solo act I learn or add 1-2 new songs to my playlist on the next gig.

What is a C Melody Saxophone? I don’t know much about the C melody other than what I read on Wikipedia they are rare instrument and it is larger than an alto and smaller than a tenor and they concert key and also F.

What brands of saxophone are best?

It depends on what level where a person is in their career or studies. I started with a Selma Bundy alto and now I play Selma Mark7 Alto, Yanagisawa Tenor and soprano saxophone. They have so many brands of saxophones that great players make almost any functioning horn sound good.

When did you fall in love with music?

I fell in love with music at 8 years when my mom bought me a guitar for Christmas that year.

What is your favorite song to perform?

I enjoy playing a lot of tunes so to have a favorite is hard to say for instance I love playing“ I have nothing If I don’t have you” Whitney Houston , I enjoy playing Loving You By Minnie Ripperton , I love playing “If only for one night” Luther Vandross.

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Grover Washington Jr. Gerald Albright, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince and bands Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang and whoever is creating great music

What is the note range on a saxophone?

Note range on the saxophone goes from low B flat to high F regular fingering but there are other fingering techniques that allow you to play higher octave on the sax

Qn. What is the best advice you have been given? I was always told to just keep working on your craft by my close friends and family but the best advice was If you really want to learn music and play an instrument “The only one who can stop you is you, so do what you need to do and if it something you love and enjoy you will never work hard a day in your life”

What is the most common saxophone to learn on? Alto Saxophone

What musical team of producers would you most like to collaborate with? Norman Brown, Peter White, Quincy Jones, Kevin Flournoy, Gerald Albright.
