Craig Ogden’s
Guitar Weekend 2017 Hi Everyone! I want to invite you all to my fourth Guitar Weekend at Manchester’s fabulous international concert venue, The Bridgewater Hall. We’ve a wide range of performers playing a wide range of music – from Bach to the Beatles and into the 21st century. The classical guitar evolves with the times, and we will be exploring how instruments are made and how music is written today! As ever, a lot my musical friends, collaborators and students (current and former) will be joining me. These include the brilliant jazz singer, Jacqui Dankworth, the Royal Northern Sinfonia and the Aquarelle Guitar Quartet, who appear in my Big Guitar Jamboree alongside an orchestra of a hundred amateur guitarists. I hope to see you at some of the concerts, talks, workshops and free foyer performances for what should be a fantastic celebration of the guitar. Best wishes, Craig
Guitar Marketplace Foyers Saturday & Sunday During the day on Saturday and Sunday luthiers James Lister, David Pelter and Oren Myers will display a selection of their finest wares with a chance to learn more about the art of guitar-making and to try some new instruments.
