If I’d observed all the rules, I’d never have gotten anywhere. -Marilyn Monroe
Notes: I chose this quote because it is of strong importance to me, and I follow it many times in a day. It goes along with the saying “well behaved women rarely make history.” They both show me that in order to be somewhere in life, I need to bend the rules a bit. To me, rules are just guidelines, that can be pushed a little to get yourself noticed and to make a difference. Now, I don’t go around breaking rules left and right, and getting myself in trouble. I’m speaking of general rules in society. Marilyn Monroe broke many barriers that were set up for women in society, and I would like to make differences like she has, so I live by one of her guidelines.
