This year’s Brighton Fringe Family Guide features a selection of nearly 130 events that all the family can enjoy. Don’t forget to pick up the main Brighton Fringe brochure too, which contains nearly 1,000 events! Make sure you catch the brilliant and free Fringe City on New Road every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, as well as Thursdays and Fridays between 5pm and 7pm in Bartholomew Square, (in front of Brighton Town Hall).
Also, don’t miss the Family Picnics on the 6 and 27 May in Pavilion Gardens, featuring performances and games to keep the kids and their adults happy for hours! Finally, congratulations to Niko Matthews, age 10, who designed this year’s Family Guide cover and thanks also to all the other amazing cover competition entries. BARRERA is the story of two clowns in mourning. After the death of their best friend, the clowns try to continue living, but what is the point? They still do their performance with card tricks and balloons, but all the glitter and glamour seems far gone. They blunder on through drunken dancing and buckets full of tears, each mishap plunging the audience further into mirth, memory, and pathos.

Amsterdam Fringe 2016 award-winners: two dancers take on a relentless, physically and mentally challenging dance duet, where they, and the audience, experience the infinity and emptiness of the 'Zero Mark'. Their energy and focus is complete and uncompromising - utterly absorbed, driven by the beat. "A captivating, explorative study of movement and trust." (Amsterdam Fringe Jury).
